What is this Repack ?

• It's a Fast, Simple & Easy Installer for create your own WotLK MaNGOS Test Server Client 3.0.1.8471/8472 !
• It's a base which will be used for the people who want to make test or to allow other people to also make some. Thus we all will be able to advance more quickly.

Which components must I have on my computer before using the MSI:

• Navicat or SysLog (as you want - optionnal)
• MySQL 5.x
• Client WotLK 3.0.1.8471/8472
• Windows Installer 3.1
• Net Framework 2.0

Do i need to delete my previous version?

• Yes i need, because this last MSI include all new fixes and new stuff (Installer and Updater for Core ad DataBase)

I need to download a database, a core, or an another thing in order to create my server ?

• NO, you don't need to download an another thing . All you need is in this package !

Have you a easy way to configure ? what must I do to be able to start my server ?

• When you Install/Re-Install Mysql 5.x and you create the login & password for MySQL, choose :

Login: root
Password: mangos

YOU NEED TO HAVE MySQL INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER !!
BY DEFAULT INSTALL, ALL CONF FILES ARE CONFIGURED WITH LOGIN : root AND PASSWORD IS : mangos

1/ Click on Install All DataBases:

• Follow the prompt.
• Wait the end of process.

2/ Click on Check Update

• Follow the prompt.
• Wait the End of Update Process

3/ When it's finished without any errors, launch the Restarter.

Im sure someone has already made a thread about this.. but I need to find the DK trainer. The last database that i had ( from that link to that website i had above ) that data base had the Death knight in blue and green starter gear, and there was a portal there you could take to north rend, and north rend had a big ogre that gave a quest to kill wolves that was around there. Then there was another portal to a shopping mall to buy loot form vendors.

Main thing is just to get my skills and abilities for his starting level of 55. or what ever level i may try..

I read a guide somewhere, dunno if it was this website or another , of how to create vendors that have items on them ect ect ..

DK start area has a DK trainer or type .tele dkstart
This new repack has Custom vendors , talk to teleport vendor in the DK start area.

what do i chose when configuring MySQL

Developer Machine

1. Developer Machine - Install repack & use as is, defaults are 127.0.0.1 localhost, with name root & login mangos

2. Server Machine - Install repack then
You need to install either Navcat or SQLyog.
Connect to database & change database realmd, table realmlist
with your server IPaddress & you can change login details.

3. Dedicated MySQL Server Machine - Install repack , change Mysql login and password from root mangos to your new login details
edit mangos.conf. realmd.conf and Scriptdev2.conf with new login details.

oh this is to join your server that you made ? I thought it was a repack to have our own data base and play on our own server with gm commands..

If this is for your server , i wonder if it would help if people started with max weapon skill for their level .. hard to kill level 55 stuff with no weapon skill hehe. Also not even a copper to train the spells from trainer :D

Sorry I am not clear, this is a standalone your own server, own data, just a new repack. If you want you can type .maxskill & .modify money 90000000 but that is not the real way of playing but cool if you just want to test it.

no , i do like to test it with out cheating or gm stuff.. thats how its going to be on release :D Just having no weapon skill hurts being in a level 55 zone, had to go find lower level trash to kill, then there is alot of down time because i have no money to buy food.
I will have that on release is money :D standing waiting for health to come back takes too long hehe.
ya i want to test it as close as to what its going to be like on release.

Extract & run it & this installs a new repack with all fixes automatically.
All you need to do is install MYSQL & NAVCAT as before
and create 4 blank databases , Characters, Mangos, Realmd & Scriptdev2.
It installs to C:\program files\MaNGOS WotLK
Then you need to extract the DBC, Maps and Vmaps as before

• it work, syntaxe is : .modify money THEMONEYYOUWANT
• Example: .modify money 5000000
• YOU NEED TO HAVE THE GM RIGHTS ON YOUR ACCOUNT FOR USE ALL COMMANDS (like .modify money, .tele, ...)
• In mangosd console, write: setgm THENAMEOFYOURACCOUNT 3
• Go back to the game and you will see :winky:

I undertstand most of this.. I got the install done that was fine.. Actually let me go in order to show you what I did.

I got all the things required..
I downloaded the test server and ran it it did its instal like you said to my program files.. ok thats done.

But where im getting lost is making my data base again. you said something about navicat again.. . but there is nothing in this instal that patches the database in my navicat. I looked to see if there was any sql files in the mangos wotlk folder but i didnt see anything.

I logged into the world any way and nothing was in there, no npc's or anything.. I got to be doing something wrong..
So you know me .. like a dummy .. lol ill need to figure this out again step by step

The only thing I didnt do is mess with that DBT batch file.. i have no idea what needs ot be done with that
What exactly is the DBT batch file doing ?
Will it install the SQL files to my navicat for me ?

ok appearantly it did update navicat automatically for me.

I had made a new data base name ( localhost ) by default.

I had the connection open .. the database names you indicated were already on there.. I ran that DBT bat file thing.. and did import , and it ran for about 4 or 5 minutes..

When it was done, I ran the mangos restarter, and logged back into the game, and now there is trainers, and Npc's creatures ect ect ..

SO i guess i got lucky and figured something out on my own for once :P

I just didnt think it was going to update my navicat for me.. thought i had to execute all those sql files like before in that guide you made me.

How to update from previous 8334 WOTLK Alpha to new 8471 / 8472

1. edit \Wrath of the Lich King\realmlist.wtf back to original

set realmlist 12.129.236.126
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com

2. run \Wrath of the Lich King\Launcher.exe

3. Let it connect to the internet & it will download the new v8471 / 8472 downloader.

4. When finished it will update your WOTLK client to 8471 / 8472

5. edit \Wrath of the Lich King\realmlist.wtf back to your server settings (usually set realmlist 127.0.0.1)

I know ill be an enchanter when the game goes live, but i cant seem to maxskill enchanting

I learned artisan just typed .learn 28029

but when i did .maxskill i got no text and it did nothing. It did max my 2 hander skill, unarmed skill that I already had.. but it wont advance Enchanting.. any ideas ?

.maxskill is only for skills like weapon skills
.setskill 333 385 (gives you 385 skill in enchanting)

for others type .lookup skill name (eg .lookup skill leatherworking)
it will display the number [165] Leatherworking
