How Do you make accounts?
Hello is there anyway I can make myself a GM on this? Its the first time I have DLed on of these so i dont know much about it.
thnx for 3.3.5a, i like using trinity core 2, but it's pretty much set up to compile it and i really don't care to install to much microsoft software other than what i need, mangos is next best thing for a wow server so thnx for the files. thnx for keeping credits to ppl to, shows respect.
Hey my friend is trying to make a server for himself and he can't open the db up so were would he find the db or how would he edit the relimlist in the db am not there so i have no idea what the repack puts the files

@rileyredman Just use the account creation page that comes with this repack to create accounts.
@zeng Yes to make yourself a GM open your database with Navicat User Name: root, Password: ascent. Then open realmd, and double click on accounts. Now find your user name, and scroll back to were it says gmlevel. Enter 3 save and close. Now you are the GM. :D:

But how do I change the registration page web if i were to use the MangosWeb.. And how do I change the location of the NPC in Dalaran cause I noticed that there are NPC for horde and alliance that stack at the same place.. (buying using emblem at their respective NPC)

@rileyredman: have you tried using the web page provided? if you're familiar with the database you can easily insert a new table.. if not, than you can use the command account create $username $password, I would suggest that you use the web since you can set your own expansion of the game
@dino87 Thank you. :): To change the registration page just go into your C:/Winkdogs 3.3.5 Repack V2/server/htdocs folder and remove everything in there, and then just put your new website there. MangosWeb might also come with a sql that you have to execute into your database though. Some websites come with a sql but im not sure about MangosWeb. As far as changing the location of the NPC in Dalaran I will have to look into that for you.

@ghostrevan If you tried crt+alt+delete proccesses and didn't find mysql_nt.exe try going to Add/Remove programs through your desktop. Sometimes there is a MySQL trial version in there that will cause this type of problem.

One more question if i may, i go onto the registration page, what password and account name do i use, is this where I would make an account that would stay permanent, sorry its my first time using these sorts of things.
I'm running Trinity core 3.3.3a right now... how hard is it to move charaters over to mangos and also, does this release have an auctionhouse bot???? can one be put in... or do i need to find or build another build?

@zeng The registration page is were your players can make there accounts. If you are the administrator and make an account through the registration page you will need to make a connection to your database with Navicat using user name: root, password: ascent and open the reamd/Tables/account. Then find your name and scroll back to were it says gmlevel and enter 3. Then you might want to delete the administrator account that comes with this repack so that no one else can use it. But the registration page is for your players to make there accounts. I hope that wasn't to confusing if you need more help feel free to ask.
@nikkijamie I don't know if it is possible to transfer accounts from Trinity to MaNGOS because some of the table structures are different but if you want to try here is how to transfer accounts from repack to repack using the same emu.
The correct way to do it if you are compiling your own server and doing updates is to:
1. backup the realmd table
2. backup the characters table
3. then just update those 2 tables
But with my friend treetree's help we figured out a simple way that should work for everyone who wants to transfer there account data from repack to repack.
1. First make a copy of your repack someplace on your computer in case this doesn't work for you. That way you have a copy.
2. Start up your MySQL from the repack that has all the account data you want to transfer.
3. Make a connection to your database with Navicat using the user name: root, and the password: ascent.
4. Now open your realmd database. Then click on tables/account and right click on account. Go down to were it says "Dump SQL File" then click on it and save the file someplace. It should look like this picture.

5.Now open your characters database and do the same for your "characters", and "character_inventory" tables.

6. Close your Mysql. Now open up your Winkdogs 3.3.5 Repack Version 2 and start up your MySQL.
7. Make a connection to your database using the same connection info.
8. Open your realmd database right click on it and select execute batch file. Then navigate to were you saved your "account.sql" click on it, and then select open. Then click on start.

10. Now all your accounts should be transfered into your new server. :)
Like I said I don't know if this will work for transfering Trinity to MaNGOS but I know it will work for MaNGOS to MaNGOS.
And no there is no auctionhouse bot in this repack but I might include an optional auctionhouse bot in my next version. You should be able to ad one if you can find an SQL one to execute into the database. I hope this helped.

@FiveStar That usually means that there is something else running on port 80. If you have Skype try turning it off because Skype runs on port 80.
Winkdog this is an awesome repack.. I have only two issues maybe you can assit with. 1 DK Starting quest eye of archeon or whatever quest.. does not work.. 2 How would i go about adding cutom items.. I tried that wowv site but it does not work.. any ideas bro?
That eye is a vehicle and Mangos doesn't have vehicles implemented.
And what's your problem with custom items specifically? How doesn't WoW-V work?
well with wow-v I save item as a .sql for mangos and when I try to import into magons DB it gives me an error, unsure what I am doing wrong .. and yes I am making god like weapons and armor

You could hack the database to do something, like, make the quest auto-complete.
Also, not posting the error doesn't help me narrow down what it is.Code:-- Change the xxx to the quest's ID (from WoWHead)
