Btw. is there a special reason you're using the ODBC-crap instead of the System.Data.SqlClient class? I mean: as far as i know, System.Data.SqlClient allows you to connect to all SQL-Server versions since 7.0 without the need to install anything besides the .Net Framework.

Allow, yes, but the connection string also depends on wich server, plus also mess with sql security, and its kinda a pain sometimes. Still is way better than ODBC
I cannot connect to the Alpha or the OpenBeta. I used SQL 2000 with no password. In my files/ config for web i dont got to put anything, so i left those blank in the field then i used 127.0.0.1 for the IP didn't work so i used my Hamachi IP and again didn't work. I used the 127.0.0.1/ something that it started with didn't work so I am wondering if it'll work at all for me or if i need a password with my SQL i tryed putting SA didn't work either. Goto your SQL Configuration, and enable SQL Browser.
yoh brc the SQL ur saying is it the normal SQL or the MSSQL
