[Guide]3rd part Setting up ODBC with pictures...

Well...
I cant post a third message on my topic that's why a started a new thread...
Anyway I'll show how to set ODBC with pics...
First...
Go to Start>>Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>>ODBC
You should have something like this...

Then click add...
You should have something like this...

Then select SQL Server...
It's located on the bottom of the list...
Then click Finish...
Then you should have something like this...

Put in RanGame1 in name for RanGame1 database...
Then put in your server name...
Mine was SERVER\SQLEXPRESS...
Then click next...
Then you should have something like this...

Choose "With SQL Server authentication blah blah blah..."
Then input "sa" in the login name...
Then the password for your sa login in the password box...
Then click next...
Then you should have something like this...

Check the "Change the default database to"
And select RanGame1 for RanGame1 odbc...
Then click next...
Then you should have something like this...

Now click finish...
Do this for all of the databases, RanUser, RanShop & RanLog as well..
And now all set...
Anyway...
C&C are accepted on my guides...

exptable_max.bin is located @ glogic.rcc
glogic.rcc is located @ glogic folder...
glogic folder is located @ data folder...
to open glogic.rcc use winrar...

try to read and analyze man...search for post...all your questions are already answered..you have to research for it...look for stickes..and follow instructions..

to your question.....check your SQL your server must be running..it might be at a stop state...chek your SQL server management for your server name..for example.....the server name is JM\SQLEXPRESS and if its already in a start state...go back to ODBC and in creating RanGame1 press the arrowdown button for the "which sql server to connect to" then CHOOSE the server name JM\SQLEXPRESS and fill up the pass(blah blah) and i think you will connect..

Remember....SQL server must be on START (running) how to know it is running..click start menu till the microsoft sql2005 and then configuration tools then choose "service area configuration for service and connection" and then click at SQLExpress then click your server (E.G) Jm\SQLEXPRESS click on database engine...if it is in stop mode click start and then click the arrowdown in STARTup tab and choose automatic...

try it..^_^it might work..
