    @TS

lol u can just download the tune up utilities 2008 it has the optimizer for all types of connection or u can just disable the 20% bandwidth that the automatic updates uses and change the globalmaxtcp at the registry to 00FFFF

it is be true or false. in my experiences on my work of IT head of call center this not true to faster your connection is to get higher speed of connection or isp. open bandwidth or static ip. all net booster is not true because im a programmer too the function of net booster is to boost of all ram cpu ram and memory. but this is my only comment ^^ okay.

Re: [guide] for smartbro users only!^_^V

Sorry but I dont believe it's true...
Bandwidth depends on your ISP on how they set it on your BTS(for smartbro) or Default Gateways...
They have the control over your overall bandwidth...
I know of a way on how to optimize your internet connection...
For smartbro it is to tweak your canopy and change the settings there...
Find the download and upload rate...
Just tweak it to your taste and voila optimized internet...
But I'm not saying that it's a hundred percent of additional speed...
Though it will higher the download speed for your connection than your upload speed...

soo ur saying this thread won't speed up the internet connection of smartbro?

Re: [guide] for smartbro users only!^_^V

    Haven't tried it yet...
    Maybe yes, maybe no...
    But eversince I used smartbro...
I tried alot of web accelerator or internet accelerator Bullshits...
    Nothing worked...
Only canopy tweaking worked for me...
And I think this one only works for a single computer...
Cuz you're tweaking the properties of TCP/IP of the said computer...
What if, you're behind a router?

cablenut tool may help but no noticeable improvement.

    -------------------------------
    Haven't heard of squid?

Oh oh, maybe the "great" boy that sucks magenik's dick know this already..

I'm using Linuxbox+squid and a UnixBox+squid to control bandwidth of my client PC's, I could define how much bandwidth each my client will get.

    @"great-boy-know-everything-that-sucks-magenik's-dick"

mind to share your idea on how to control bandwidth using *nix OS's and squid?

damn, it is being used by Smartbro anyway.

sir austhistikated is right the only way to make your smartbro connection faster is to tweak your canopy settings... but be aware that if you changed your settings, smart can detect it and disables your smartbro account temporarily... tried tweaking my canopy and i got over 512kbps download rate (speedtest.net) ^_^

Re: [guide] for smartbro users only!^_^V

    @cruzades
Yep cruzade's I'm also thinking of using squid for my network here...
And I'm also using DU S.C. for my bandwidth allocation per pc...
And I found those from your forum...
    I'm learning alot from there...
    Thanks!!

    @lastiko
lol I've managed to get to near 3Mbps before...
But after a month I think they've noticed it and made my connection worse that made me replace my canopy...
    Now I can't tweak it...
    lol...
I miss my fast internet connection before...
    Wanna see screenes?? haha

  13. #13

Re: [guide] for smartbro users only!^_^V

I'm not the one who looked for AP...
    But those guyz were great...
They are still at work even though Gloria asked for curfew that night...
They went here to find a good AP...
And I'm watching how they tweak the canopy...
    You know...
    Photographic memory...
And did it on my own...
    Lol...
I enjoyed that speed for about 2 and a half month...
    lol...

If you are expiriencing slow connection on your smartbro connection it is because of the BTS or the base station where your canopy is homed... it doesnt matter how much rssi you got in an AP or sector what we call it.... it still the BTS give you the speed... wait for your BTS to be upgraded to 512k thats all I can say.. by the way I work for smartbro right now... any question just ask me....

as long your color codes does not leave the BTS.. coz every BTS has 6 color codes... coz one's you chose a different color code that doesnt belong the the BTS, you accnt will temporarily deactivated..

No problem sir... just be carefull on experimenting on your canopy... one mistake and it will lock you canopy for good... before we use default IP for the canopy that starts with 169.x.x.x but since many user always making changes or accesing the canopy smart change it to 10.x.x.x series....

I forgot one's smart detect that client is tampering with their setting and end up locking the canopy they charge them 7,000 php. that the cost of the canopy it self... but still there are ways to unlock it...
