cabalmain.exe crashes - Please help

Hello guys. I have a problem:
When i'm playing in my server, after a time plaaying, cabalmain closes without any messages, it does no crash only when i'm killing monsters, it crashes at any time, at any place. What could it be the problem?

No, it crahses when i'm in the city, walking, killing monsters...

I get it from a video tutorial from RAG BR. It calls CabalXP. I'm using CabalUS as client full. Which patch i have to use?

Make sure it's the 31 Jan 2008 client, not the latest US as that will cause problems.

your using wrong patch and wrong client check here in the cabal section for the updated patches and clients.

Cath22 would you do me the favor of posting the links to me? I am not used to cabal files...The only progress i have made so far with the cabalmain.exe was disabling the internal.txt and putting internal ip into the cabalmain.exe

chumpy i have downloaded the last lost spirit patch. How can i set the cabalmain to run in window mode?

To run it in window mode you have to go into the game and set it in the options. There is a .dat file (usersettings.dat if i remember correctly) which the official launcher can edit to launch in window mode so if your normal game client runs in a window you can probably just copy the file over.

I have never actually tried. Very little is stored in there so a little tweaking of settings in the client and studying the .dat file in a hex editor would would show you it's format very quickly. If i remember right (my memory is pretty bad) Munk from the official EU forums did this and wrong a small tool.

How do i install? I already have the files that was released in that image of centos 4.7 ready to run.

Check the readme that comes with the 2.81 files. All you do is copy the files to the /root/ folder on centos, chmod the install script and then run it. Once done run the "cabal_config" command. It's also worth knowing there is a "cabal_help" command which displays some useful info and what other commands are available (every command has help too).

Also, use the "thanks" button instead of posting thanks as that is ow the reputation system works ;)
