[Client] EP8 unknown error

Hello guys im having a problem with the client side. I am using TGCabalEP8 client and at first run, i was having an error on xtrap that i couldnt connect that i need to restart the game.

By that, i went here : http://forum.ragezone.com/f459/xtrap...t-main-918015/ and added those lines on the host file and the xtrap started updating. Now comes another. After the xtrap updated the cabal main windows just blinks and nothing happens. I tried making cabalmain.exe as admin but still not working. Anyone know why this happened? I tried this on windows 8.1 but was a mess so i did a fresh install of win7 and the server side is working (probably, picture attached) its just i cant even go the main cabal window.

ps: Im a total newbie on this as i havent done any of this in my whole life but wanted to try it . I assume you guys definitely dont even want to waste your time on the newbiest of the newbies but please i just need help. :D

If you're running the client properly and it blinks like you say then it's most likely something preventing it from starting, you should turn off your firewalls (possibly DEP but I haven't had any problems with it, personally.) and see what happens.

Although, I haven't tried TG's client, it could be something else, but you know where you should start ^^.

ps: We all had to start somewhere, as long as you do your research before posting I'm pretty sure people will help you, you probably wont need much help if you do enough research though.

Yes thank you so idiotic of me i forgot to turn off firewall and i did it and it worked well for the first part. Now the cabal main window is running now im getting this cabalmain.exe being corrupt or something but i did do research and right now im trying to figure out how to disable file check on punks7yle's cabalmain.exe using ollydbg its just right now im stuck on getting an error of fmodex.dll missing like really stuck. i tried updating everything on windows that might include that, tried on my brother's laptop and another pc unit but still the same error popped out. I did try the original cabalmain.exe from TG client on ollydbg and i got no errors or anything from start. Im just really stuck lol.

As I said earlier, I haven't used TG's client so I'm not really familiar with the things you might be experiencing, although it's most likely not a windows problem.

A screen shot of the error will help ^^. Also, there's a guide on how to deactivate file check in punk's cabalmain, it's easy to follow.

Seems you and I have similar issues. Tell me when you try to disable file check on punks7yle's cabalmain.exe using ollydbg, on the right hand side panel does it say file not found or corrupt? For some reason on both the same message pops up. I got everything working properly, even xtrap and I am also stumped on that little bug that is preventing me from launching fully.

Hey guys! Yes that true screenshots how could i forget :D So yeah this what happens whenever i try to open the punk's CabalMain.exe and on the second one, i tried opening the original cabalmain.exe from TG client just to check if it also get an error but it doesnt! IDK WHY olly's being an ass or my computer is with punk's.



and yes! you are right it says on the right panel that its corrupt of file not found, how did you fix it and successfully removed file check on it?

flak, the error you get from punk's cabalmain is because you didn't put it in your cabal's folder. You do that and it should work just fine.

Right, so first put Punks main in your cabal folder, run oly as admin.

Open the cabalmain and it should load up without the error

Once that is done, follow the guide Punk wrote, make sure to untick the box when NOP-ing.

The saving part is on the first page as well. BUT save the main in a different spot. THEN replace the file

Thanks guys! I was able to edit cabalmain.exe and i got no xtrap errors and went to main cabal screen with no problem yay! You guys rock!


Now i just need to create an account to be able to log in. I did research and came up with Bega tool which is completely new to me.

I put my ip address, user:sa, pass, mssql pass, port :22 and it says SUCCESS/ Data successfully saved!
but when i do test connection im getting an account connection: Error [ ERROR | There's some problem with the database connection. Please check the database names, your password and username. is the database service running?]

i did do the requirements posted http://forum.ragezone.com/f459/bega-admin-tool-917567/ but im quite sure if i did it right. Sorry guys for asking so much help on this.

For SQL, use port 1433.
