Good day RZ. what exactly need to edit in CT4 to connect to the ep8 database? can share us some tips if you don't mind
I had successfully connect some function like rankings and the admincp but the login function don't work. some people says change the md5 function to pwdcompare but I think Im good enough to change that procedure. I will totally appreciate any help if someone extend a hand for this. thanks.

the only problem is the logins premises,
there are things you must edit on backend and must run new query for ep8

what part in the backend files needed to edit? anyway I didn't use the CT4 Public release, I bought the site to john_D but I can't contact him anymore.
no, you need to make ur own query to make login works on mssql 2k8,
and also you bought from john_d? as faras i know john_d abandon already this cabal section long time ago.
ct4 public will work, same as we are using bt there are things you still need to make it compatible on mssql 2k8, the public release was made only for 2k5 and below.
Yeah I bought this from john I think 2 years ago with working item customizer for ep2. But now its useless since I can't make it fully working on ep8
