Thanks for that.
Sorry, but if you look at the video, he pulled that window away; I didn't know what he did with it, nor did I know what that was going to do for him. I've got it now, thanks guys.
Yeah I know 343, I'll be more attentive.
Gah, I just got past the Mask Gen part, and on your video, it says you have that IP between the URL; mine has " http://" + lanip + "/admin/...", should I put that IP in there? Searching the thread, it looks like I'm the first person with it.
It also has '<%@include file="../../WEB-INF/.userconfig.jsp"%>' directly above the other stuff. When I did put the IP in there, I rebooted and tried everything; this is what came up when I went to the site
'Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /opt/lampp/htdocs/config.php on line 11'
So, I went back to the config.php, and this is what I noticed on line 11:

Sorry for double posted...
I put in the LAN IP, but I still need help with the domain error. What should I edit on line 11 that the site doesn't recognize? Should I delete everything from 'or domain..' to '..Your Ser'?
The "your ser" is meant to be part of the comment which has overflowed to the next line. Just delete the "your ser" or put it back as part of the comment and it will fix the syntax error.
Entirely out of curiosity, (and because I'm a noob at this), does anyone know what the "Vigor Points" option in the character properties of pwAdmin does?
Vigor means chi, my guess is that it means their max chi or whatever..
Crap..dumbass question, but how do you get Ubuntu out of the..MySQL mode I guess. I need to get back so I can edit those files, and I can't access it because I've already ran the MySQL.

Hiya, i have a problem that has left me scratching my head.
Today i logged onto the game, in readiness to bid for my 4th land being Thousand Streams.
To my horror :scared: all the maps have reset...no-one owns any territories anymore.
I know i havent been fiddling in the database and neither have i changed anything server side except for adding some scripts for PvP Top 50 in the registration side.
The only thing that has happened adversely to the server is that registrations stopped working last night and i had to re-boot VM to get them working again.
Im totally at a loss as to why this happened and im hoping someone out here has an idea.
TY in advance.
BTW i quickly looked in /PWServer/gamedbd/dbhomewdb/dbdata/ for "city" and sure enough it is still there.
Im also adding that all factions are still present and functional.
Also..this server has been running for perhaps 3 months or so, it wouldnt have some reset function built in for every 3 months?
I also rebooted the server and still not show..:*:
Edit Solution- Whatever the cause was (im suspecting a corrupted database) i had made a backup last week and replaced the "city" with the backup from last week.
Everything booted up just fine and Territories were back minus 1 week of progress.
you can try the dbrebuild thing to avoid having to use backups, in most cases it can be recovered from logs
Thank you. Can't imagine why I didn't figure that out on my own. >.<
ok, I take it this is a bad thing? I was just thinking on installing it to try and run the pwAdmin web interface on the server itself. (not sure how I would route to it in the server itself. Seems like trying to address it's external ip internally would fail.)
Also, I would like to make it easier to distribute the client I've created to my friends. (Once I figure out how to route them to my internal server >.<) Is it possible to set up an ftp server or something? I'd also like to edit the web pages from the "IP address"/register page to create a download link.
Apologies again for being such a nooblet at this. Family is having loads of fun so far, now I want to bring in some friends!
I'm using VMware player.
I already tried exit; it says /init: line 271: can't open /root/dev/console: No such file
Then it has a bunch of '[79718.1xxxxx] [<c0xxxxxx>] commandhere' and I can't press anything.
[QUOTE=343;6691643]PLEASE Don't tell me you're using ubuntu desktop =S
Why do you say this 343? I am running Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop and it works just fine.
