343 I setup the server you posted here and I made my own shop, items, npcs, quests etc (using the various editors) however can you tell me if there is anything that I need to fix on this server package? Is there any exploits I should be aware of? Is there anything that's not working but will do if xx is edited? EtcQuote:

I honestly am clueless when it comes to this release in it's current form, and you'll see why when the update comes out, if you decide to DL it. It shouldn't be much longer as I'm about to enter 'beta' phase with it :wink:
This release as it is currently downloadable has been abandoned (even though I'm an archiver I do not have those files on my PC or in my archives any longer) for the new release/update that is pending. Again, if you decide to DL the update, you'll see why. The only thing that's not provided is the toilet paper (but if you provide the TP it will wipe your rear for you <.<)...
I am thinking I WILL leave this 'version' available though (in it's old form) as the update is also going to be MUCH more STRICT. Right off the bat I can safely say that it's going to REQUIRE:
- Ubuntu Server x64 12.04.3 [the installation script will support NO other version of OS, as this will be capable of being set up on a LAN with NO internet access IE for a LAN party]
- at LEAST (an ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM OF) 6GB of RAM (more if running in a VM [8GB], so the HOST OS can have some RAM too)
Those are the two 'biggies' that come to mind...

You need to. Think about that one for a minute too :wink: If I had done it the server would be HUGE, because it would have been the size of not only the server but an UN-compressed client TOO ... ... ...
lol.i was wrong I upload the files using winscp already compress 7z and now the files with Chinese name be like this jasdjasdj.haha.later, im gonna use usb drive or .iso.:mellow:

Okay. I have found out what it says that. It is because I havent mounted the server root in virtual box but in external mounting programme. But when I try to add another disc (with server iso) to one mounted as ubuntu it gives me this error

Creating base for update server is taking time sooo long!!
343!!pls upload the new release as soon as possible!
My time for creating update server are 4 hours ( insert files to mysql ) xD but it's only for first time... Create, backup dB / files, done.

Yep, there's nothing you can do about that. You have to figure it's inserting EVERY file into the MySQL DB, AND a checksum for each file too. So there's nothing you can do to speed up making the 'base' patch for CPW, except maybe buying better/newer/faster hardware (CPU/RAM etc)...
I think on my BEST computer it still takes ~4 hours (like fgru said). I've even had it take in upwards of 12 hours in VM's!
12 HOURS! IN VM? honestly iam using vm now. yeah,for the first time but now iam thinking about the next 343 release because im gonna do this AGAIN! or maybe if I know more about how the pwserver files works, i could just update the server files.just i don't want to create this base again and again.iam tired to leave my pc open for a day.
