The client has the 79 skills the server does not. It is not a bug, the server wasn't designed to have them at that point. The only reason they show up is because we used a new client with the server.
This package is probably about as complete and bug free as you can get with 1.3.6

I used your serverfiles and the tools you have added to the pwdev.
all are the last updated files, but i get this message when i try to save the elements.data as serverside.
well even copied the elements.data from the folder next to the sELedit, still same message.
Any suggestion ? I'm soory if someone already had this problem discussed.
Personally for v136 since the server and client are different (DATAs), I have always opened them both, side by side, made the proper edits (to both) and then saved both. That way you should have no problems, as tedious as you may consider it... ... ... At least that way you wont have to mess with any 'exporting' and worrying if it did it correctly :wink:

Ok so I got these main 2 IP's from 77.71.196.13 and the VM ip 80.203.90.217 (if I'm correct).
Which one do I put in the etc/hosts file?
Also in /opt/lampp/htdocs/config.php there are Server IP and LanIP. Which of the 2 addresses do I have to put in each line?
And again in the userconfig.jsp do I have the put the same LANIP as the config.php one above?
All I want for now is to open the server and be able to access the site and the game. Firewall/AV are disabled aswell. Thanks in advance.

Hello I kinda have a problem.When I mount the server iso on daemon tools and I try to copy it on Ubuntu it says:"mount point /cdrom does not exist" ...Can anyone tell me what to do now?
Create the mount point then

Ok used it but now it says "special device /dev/cdrom does not exist
and if I type "mkdir /dev/cdrom" and then "mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom" it says "/dev/cdrom is not a block device"
instead of using daemon tools mount the iso using vmware/vbox itself before you run the commands. There should be an option above the vm in the menus to load the iso.
You could also try something lile /dev/cdrom1 but idk.
You cannot make a directory called /dev/cdrom because it already exists. /dev/cdrom is the actual cdrom device itself and to use it you have to mount the drive which essentially copies the files to another location /cdrom.

Ok, well that seems really odd that you keep getting permission issues. The "step" that I think/thought you were 'missing' was the one where I explicitly say to do *everything* as root. If you're using Ubuntu as I've set this release up to use (since so many people use it, and it is so easy to use even for a Linux novice) the very *first* thing you should be doing after installing the OS (before doing *anything* else) should be "unlocking" the root user (since by default the user 'root' is 'disabled' by ubuntu) by running "sudo passwd root", then immediately logging out and logging back in as root, Then proceeding with the installation as 'root'...Quote:

The only other problem I have ever heard of was one time I know someone renamed the files. :blink: Seems I have having a bit of trouble with the ranking page that comes with this release. For some reason I can't get it to display any results. It's actually the first time I've tried to use it because before I was using another ranking table.
The config.php file is set up correctly, I can register accounts no problem, change passwords and so on but I can't work out why I can't get the ranking page to display any information, I have imported roles to the database. I thought maybe it was because I was using GM chars so I made normal characters but still no luck.

Did you change the IP address within pwadmin files itself?
Sure, ranking works just fine. Problem is if you're not getting any data you have not populated the DB. You can populate the DB one of many ways. If I recall correctly I made a "top player manual refresh" "plugin" for pwAdmin (that would be one way). The other two would be to either manually run tpr.sh in /etc/cron.pw/ or make sure your server is 'up' at midnight and cron will automatically run it :wink: So, there you have it, try one of those three ways and you should be golden :):Quote:

Well, IDK why tomcat wouldn't be running, but it certainly appears neither 'instance' of tomcat is running. Do they appear to successfully start when you run start.sh ???Quote:

your server need to install java ? im use virtualbox not vmware its a problem ?
first of all,yes you need to install java for the server.Secondly,no,there is no problem in using vmware or vbox to make the server

if u have an router: 192.x.x.1 is ur routerconfig ... server cant use this ip ... ur server need 192.x.x.2 - 192.x.x.253
but why ?
your router is useing 192.X.X.1 so you can not have any other pc /Vbox using that ip, you can use X.2-256 as long as other pc's in your network are not already using that IP. your server ip will NOT be .X.X.1 anyhow, check with ifconfig via root access for the true lan ip of your server...
what command should I use to see the ipconfig?

the ip address you use to 'log in' you server is the ip you need to put into the config.php files . i left all 127.0.0.1 ip's alone in hosts and my server works fine.
This is a very easy setup and has been well explained over the months on how to set up, i sat and looked through these posts before i asked questions, my only fault was 'not enough mem to run the full maps'
but basically access your server root, ifconfig from command line.. this will give you your 'local ip'(192.X.X.X and your loopback ip (127.0.0.1)
