But Do you have any suggestion what can make this error? :/
Any way, What kind of package is that? Still 1.3.6 or it's more? :)

The only real suggestion I can offer is to re-install, as many times as it takes even. Because especially with the problem you described it sounds like something went awry during the copy and or install.
It is an update to this package. That is all I can say at this moment. About the only other thing I /can/ say is: This package has always focused on being an easy installation and operation. The update makes things even easier than they already are! I can say there weren't really even any "in game" changes made as this "MAJOR" update revolves mainly around how the package is installed as used. Again, to follow with the main intent this package has always had, to be easy to install and operate.
So far it's looking as if it may be out within a few months, though with something as major as this one (and my recent lack of free time) I don't want to give any specific times or dates...
@343 i am using a separate system as a server, ( linux 12.04-- 32 bit, with 160 HDD, an 1 GB of ram), i have copied this files to server, but when i borrows to server through my laptop it says server OFFLINE, i did start the file called start.sh in root folder, could you explain why is it so..
You have to go to... YourIP:8443/pwAdmin and then go to server control and then start the server from there after you start.sh
Hi 343, sorry if I don't speak English well.
I can't open myIP/admin when I start the server (I try IP:8443/admin and IP:8443/pwAdmin too, but I think is the same).

I don't know what's wrong. I would be very grateful if you help me. Thanks :)
PD: I have seen some people modify /etc/network/interfaces but I never modify that file, maybe that's the problem, I really don't know.
You shoud try to modify your /etc/hosts file to the Vmware adapter ip v4 address. Because now you are link to your own computer not your Virtual pc.
It's in your case 192.168.17.1, and you should do this too on the .../htdocs/config.php and the .../userconfig.jsp.
Maybe that will help.
Personally suggest: Use a Bridged host card on you virtual pc. My virtual pc never works when I try the NAT card.
Thank you 343 I found what was the problem, the installer works perfect. Now I only need the cpw Patcher set up and everything will be fine :3
I have the same problem as the last guy (kmkazz) here is what mine looks like, ALL files that i seen that needed to be edited, i just didnt Screenshot them all

i have checked around on this but i didn't understand much, can anyone help me on this?
You need to either put your VM on the same network or change all subnets involved to 255.255.0.0 so that they ARE on the same network. You are also going to want to tick the "replicate physical network connection state" in your VMware network adapter properties for the VM
Hey 343 :)
im having problems with the iso is there a way to connect with winscp? and copy the files manually? i tried the ip in ifconfig but cant connect even checked in my router to see an ip and the machine not showing.
***** update
I fixed this issue .... looking at wrong router :sneaky2:
if anyone else having problem with the server files try connecting with winscp but first install this
sudo apt-get install openssh-server
not sure this is the right thing to do but hey i am trying lol
Thanks so much for the reply.
You suggest don't use NAT card. But if I use Bridged, what is the IP I should use?
http://oi43.tinypic.com/mb370l.jpg
192.168.17.1 is the IP of VM Network #8 type NAT (I try use this adapter with the files hosts, userconfig and config modified and don't work for me too when I try go to the website from my computer)
192.168.86.1 of VM Network #1 type Host-only (I also tried this IP in the files with this adapter and don't work)
http://oi40.tinypic.com/1219w9h.jpg
as what is the ip of the VM Network #0 (Bridged)?
http://oi44.tinypic.com/9jepo6.jpg
But the subnets are the same 255.255.255.0, VMware subnets and my internet connection. Or my internet needed a different subnet?
http://oi41.tinypic.com/jq2tms.jpg
And also tried...
http://oi44.tinypic.com/346xcns.jpg
I changed my router to 255.255.0.0 subnet (Network -> LAN) but I can't change this in VMware.

hmm my server are from 343 and i have one problem...some time my gamedbd are offline.
I'm having trouble at mounting the server ISO. When I type mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom it gives me /dev/sr0: unknown device. Does anyone know how I could fix this please?
You can follow the directions HERE to figure out what device name your cd/dvd ROM drive is (if it's not sr0)
it seems it is sr0

I've an annoying problem.
I installed the server, no flaws. Ran it, no flaws. pwAdmin works fine.
But I cannot connect to MySQL via Navicat (I changed pwAdmin's password from "root" to my own via phpmyadmin (encrypted it using THIS MySQL5 encryptor).
Weird thing is that I installed the server a while ago on VMWare and did the same as above, but I could've connected. Now I can't anymore.
Therefore CPW doesn't work either. I get "host "xxx.xxx.xxx" is not allowed to connect to this mysql...". In phpmyadmin, pwAdmin has "%", so I should be able to connect from any host, but still doesn't work. Any ideas?
me too thats why i dont use it

Anyone has any idea? Using 343's package. (The latest available release)
Best 1.3.* server. Works perfect.
Thanks for your hard work and your detailed and easy to follow guide.
Waiting for a 1.4.* Complete Package ;)
Keep up the good work!
1.4.x ? 343 ? never xD
How I can add Gold via Navicat?
The interesting part is that you're just discovering this. My package has always had *anything* that could be construed as 'optional' set to NO or OFF or FALSE or 0 including TW. This one is no different, change the 0 to a 1 in the gdelivery configuration file...
- - - Updated - - -
The newest update to this package is now in a 'closed beta' state. Just figured I should let everyone know that so that it's known that there is progress being made
The only other thing I'd like to reiterate at this time is that the newest update to this package is going to make the currently available release look like the dogs **** on the bottom of your boot! Also there have not been many "in game" changes (I think I have said that before), the bulk and majority of changes come to the server side, and how the package is installed (installation has been made EVEN EASIER!). So, don't get your hopes up about some massive "in game" changes because there almost are none. Though if you want a much smoother installation, and even better organized server side etc, well, you'll just have to wait and see :D:
hmm on my work all perffect....did you change the ip to yours in /opt/lampp/htdocs/getcubi/index.html ?
EDIT:
ADD 10.000 CUBI-COIN

In light of the new package being in "beta" now I have begun to prepare for its release. I have made a few decisions on exactly what and how to do things for this next release/update. For starters I decided I'm keeping this same old thread (no reason to make dupe threads now!). I have also decided I will go ahead and keep the release as it's currently available, for people to continue to download, (if not for anything else) for historical purposes...
So, with that being said the first post has been blanked and will only reflect a "RESERVED" message until the release/update is available. The contents of the first post were merged with that of the 2nd post so that the historical release remains available for anyone who desires to download it at a future date...
Also this next release/update will be a TORRENT. I have decided it WILL be a torrent for multiple reasons. #1 First reason being speeds. Torrents have a capability at becoming available to download at MUCH faster speeds than any one given server/host (such as MegaUpload [when it was around] or 4shared or mega.co.nz etc etc etc). Also, on that note, #2 - it's very decentralized nature would make it almost impossible to "shut it down", so this release theoretically should never disappear once distributed via torrent, because unlike MegaUpload, 4shared, mega.co.nz or any other centralized file sharing 'service' it would be impossible for "them" to shutdown every single person that downloads and seeds this package!!! At the same time that's the only possible downfall, is that people will just LEECH and not SEED when they're done downloading for themselves. I personally vouch to seed pretty much indefinitely as long as other people are doing the same. If at ANY point in time in the future I notice people are only leeching I will stop seeding myself and gladly let the torrent DIE (the more people that seed the LESS bandwidth/resources it has to 'pull' from any given INDIVIDUAL). I wont have a problem 'dedicating' a certain % of my personal bandwidth to seeding it even, but if I start to notice I'm getting more and more of a 'load' because people aren't seeding - I will stand by and watch the torrent faceplant to its death!
So let this also serve as a WARNING: DO NOT JUST LEECH, SEED TOO !!!!!!!!!!
Another (not so 'big') reason I desire to do it this way is, I was SICK and TIRED of splitting files, as I HAD to do for the client. So this way I wont have to split ANY files :D: Which of course in turn will just make it even easier for certain peoples who didn't understand the concept of file splitting or archive splitting. Also, by extension, at least in theory, checksum's / file hash's will no longer be necessary to check whether you got a good or bad download (though will STILL be included). Previously you may have downloaded from MegaUpload or 4shared or mega.co.nz er wherever and noticed, "shit, I got a bad DL, here we go again" by checking the checksum's/file hash's. Well, due to the nature of how torrent works, when it reaches 100% download, you will KNOW you HAVE gotten a GOOD COPY :D:!
When the release becomes available I will also create a link that will bring people directly to the first post concerning the newest release/update. Until then feel free to continue to post about the soon to be 'historical release'. Though once released, I do not want to see ANY further discussion or questions related to the 'historical release'
Okay, I am pleased to announce that it appears the beta is coming to a formal end (in about 2 hours technically) finally. Look forward to seeing this release/update VERY soon now!
If you have an UPLOAD connection speed of 12 Mbit/s or greater and would like to become an initial seeder please contact me NOW. (my PM box is CLOSED so you'll have to initiate a convo w/ me right here in the thread)
i can help seeding for ya at ma cc...

Okay, as of THIS post I do NOT want ANY further discussion on the old and now outdated version of this release. From here on out the discussion is to be on ONLY the new 07.JAN.2014 update... !!!
Thank you... ... ...
Only got 3 peers.. nobody downloaded n seeding it yet lol :ridinghorse:
ETA 9weeks and 2 days!! :junglejane:
Yea, it really shouldn't take that long, but, I was not able to get as many initial seeders as I had hoped... It would appear even some of the package's "testers" aren't seeding if there are only 3 >.<
The beta had roughly 8 people >.< (so there should be 8 seeds right there <.<)
yeah..it shouldn't.. anyway i got 4 peers now ... ETA is 2d 14h.. but nvm i just wait while playing this..

Thanks you 343~~
FIRST POST
in regard to the 07.JAN.2014 @ 00:00:00 UTC/GMT update
added and rdy 4 seeding ...
Downloaded and seeding! :thumbup1: Thanks for the release 343 and all the work you do!
Thank you again for your hard work 343, downloading and will seed, though my connection is pretty crappy >.<
Thank you all for also seeding and not just leeching. Like I've said before, I will seed indefinitely as long as other people do. Also, like in your case micropanther, I don't mind if people have slow connections, I'd rather have people seeding at say 56k than 0k because it all adds up
We now seem to be at a decent 'point' in the release stage that it seems I am getting a decent 'load' even without setting any bandwidth restrictions on the torrent, and that's exactly what I want to see for everyone here, including myself. If it ever gets to the point where not only do I see that it's trying to use 100% of my network resources, and/or that other people stop seeding is when I will do the same (and watch this torrent/package die)! So, in short, I don't care if you have dial up, or you set a restriction on the torrents max upload speed (obviously no slower than a dial up connections speed <.<), AS LONG AS YOU DO SEED, that's the point!
Well, i tested all server/clients now and only find 2 issues...
1. Why are the shops disabled?
2. FW not work. Server seems to get up, but map server is dow and the client not connect.
You done a very great job with this package, thanks ;)
1. I have taken the Boutique (gshop/cash shop) out of the game, it is useless as it only promotes the "free to play - pay to win" agenda!
2. I personally couldn't care any less than I already do, about FW, but it became a plan of mine to add it to my next update as an addon before RZ even got an FW section. There was only 1 or 2 releases at the time I made that decision and saw many people were having problems getting those working too, so I made it a part of this distribution since this whole package was designed to be the MOST simple to install and use. The only extent that *I* personally ever tested was that the server did indeed start up, which it did. I have never even 'opened' an FW client in my life. Although via my "beta testing" of this package I have heard that the FW addon works just fine. The only catch about FW (if you're having problems with it and or it appears to not be working) that I can think of is, you CANNOT use pwAdmin to start it like you can any of the PW packages. In order to have FW working, you MUST install it as a system service/daemon  Also, unlike the PW packages, FW being installed as a system service/daemon will ONLY start the world map (as I am unfamiliar with FW, and for the most part didn't even touch the files from the release that I downloaded it as), which is why you should also notice, when it's asking you if you desire to install FW as a system service/daemon it doesn't list a RAM requisite (like it does for ALL of the PW packages), that is because it only starts the world map, even when installed as the system service/daemon.
So, if you're having problems with FW I would recommend you retry it with installing it as a system service/daemon
Note: you don't have to actually re-install the FW 'addon' either, you merely must re-run "service pwversion" and answer YES when it asks you if you desire to install it as a system service/daemon...
Thanks for your detailed reply.
I'm with you regarding gshop.
I try FW as daemon service and i will comment the result.
EDIT: Not woking. Client says coms error. Also, the reg page is down.
Please don't be offended but can you at least tell us how you removed the Boutique? I'd at least like use it for fashions and such. As my payment for such information I'm seeding the torrent on days I don't have night classes and on weekends. I also plan on adding a virtual machine to one of my servers dedicated to seeding in the near future.
HTTPD always starts automatically. If the registration (default) web page is not working then you must have used a dynamic IP setup for your server OS (and at this point NOTHING will work, not even PW). Preferably you will need to set a STATIC IP for your Linux server OS. Another (not so reliable) method would be to discover the new (dynamic) IP after the OS boots and use that new IP. Using a dynamic IP is NOT supported for this reason: Every time you reboot the server you will have to alter the serverlist.txt (for PW) or server.lua (for FW), and also reset the server side config using "./ipset" from /root/
Simple, create your own gshop with the items you want in it, and replace the ones included with the server and client...
I already used a static IP... is my second step when i configure a new VM.
Like I said, the other PW servers runs very smooth with no problems or errors (servers and clients). FW is the problem.
Nevermind, i got this package for PW, FW is pure optional (but nice if in future releases runs well like the other servers included).
Thanks.
Well that is odd seeing as it has worked for all the people who tested it prior to it's release...
- - - Updated - - -
Okay so, I decided I'd test for myself seeing as it's a little contradicting to hear from my testers that it works, and you that it does not - I wanted to see a little for myself.
My results, it works:
http://forum.ragezone.com/attachment...8&d=1389389533
I knew the server started up okay but I had never even started a client let alone logged in. I just installed the client I include w/ this distro, set the server IP and BAM, it works for me. Why it's not working for you I would not know now =\
 ok, im going to create a fresh VM and install 136 (base) and FW.
Hello,
I know i have asked this before and it was fixed (some how o-o) but it is happening again and i believe this wont be the only problem i have with this new package...
i am logged in as root user in:

thanks,
that worked but now probably the most stupid question asked here so far... How is the server started? like the items in vmWare?

Never mind, didnt read it fully! my bad
136 tested on
tested on AMD processor windows system (success)
tested on intel 3.1Ghz single core windows system (success)
tested on vmware and virtualbox on windows and mac (success)
tested on portable-virtualbox windows (success)
tested on android tablet with ubuntu on it (success) couldnt start any maps needed too much ram. but will work if ram was upgradable.
tested on intel imac system running ubuntu from the torrent (success)
Hey 343, great release, Ive got both 136 and 131 working fine, however character creation in 146 seems to be broken on my install, the server starts fine however creating a character in-game renders no response and then a disconnection message, Any idea what might be causing this?
EDIT: I noticed 'Game Database Daemon' is showing as offline occasionally, after a fresh install after first attempting to create a character and having the create buttons greyed out (obviously due to the gamedb being down), rebooting the server allows me to then get into the creation process, but I can not complete it and actually have a character added to the tables...
I have this issue in my first install and reinstalling the server fix the problem.
Alas, I have tried three times now with reinstalls and its the same...
Snowmane76, did you only reinstall the 146 package, or the whole thing?
EDIT:
I've discovered that character creation works when running 146 as a daemon and the server runs as intended, however when started from pwAdmin, character creation is not working on my system, but the server functions with already created characters fine.
It seems to be started up (1.4.6), but wrong version precinct-region world, in last china client v80 - 1356666511, in perfect world private client - 1361177555 (?)
Here is my problem...
Video Link: *spot holder*
i start up the vmWare but when i go to login to the pwAdmin/admin/iweb (what ever its called) nothing shows up...
URL i enter: http://*IP Address*/admin
and after i enter that it loads for 2-3 seconds then says browser cannot find this page or something along those lines... help?
to fix the problem with not being able to create the other classes you need to add some of the missing .sev files to "/PWServer/146/gamed/config" and restart the installation
they are path.sev precinct.sev region.sev (atleast in my installation they are)
Attachment 143081
If you have enough RAM, you can run Pw146 as a service, and by enough RAM I mean a LOT :p If it's installed as a service, it is automatically run when you boot up the guest. 343 mentioned all of this in the first post >.<
Anyways, to install it as a service type
/etc/init.d/pwversion 146
If you don't have enough RAM to run all maps, then: -
cd /PWServer/146
./start_min.sh
That will start the world map. Then I navigate to http://insertyourip/admin for pwAdmin and start maps individually. This is just for testing/learning only, and shouldn't be done on a live server.
Yes, yes micropanther, i see. But I ned jus one ./136 for srvr since no RAM today. Tomorrow, yes. Just to see main map of client run proper. mybie I manugd dhcp looool wrong, but what's the cmd for null service start and only 136?! Any prerequisites liek jre,php etc?
Tyz.much help/
If not enough RAM for 136, then do the commands: -
cd /PWServer/136
./start_min.sh
Installing sorts all those prerequisites, like installng pwAdmin, PhpmyAdmin, iweb... This release does everything from apart from wiping your ass for you lol.
People seem to be clicking the download button and not reading! *facepalm* READ THE FIRST POST YOU LAZY BUMS! :aetsch:

Instructions:
Perfect World Private - ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤
This is a complete package of the game "Perfect World" for PC
The server from this package runs on Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS x64
The client runs on WinXP+ operating systems
There is also a 'tools' disc included (pw_dev.iso) so that one can modify the server/client to their liking
The server has been made a simple and straightforward installation. All you have to do to install the server is mount/burn the ISO and run the corresponding installation for it. "./install-pw" will install v136, "./install-131" will install v131, "./install-146" will install v146, and "./install-fw" will install fw(v0517). v136 is the "base" package and REQUIRED to install any of the "addons" which include v131, v146, and fw(v0517). All can be installed at the same time but they cannot be ran simultaneously (only one can be ran at a time). There is a service included to switch between the active installed versions called pwversion (merely type "service pwversion" in the Linux terminal to switch between active versions). These can also be installed as a system service/daemon (if you have a worthy system [with enough RAM]) so that there is NO human interaction required to boot up the server besides pressing the power button (or starting up the virtual machine). Note: If you don't have a good enough system or just don't desire to run as a system service/daemon you can simply navigate a web browser to your server @ http://your.server.ip.address/admin to start one game map at a time. The servers HTTPD, MySQL, Tomcat, etc, are all started automatically no matter what (for this reason).
The client doesn't really need 'instructions' whatsoever, just mount/burn the ISO and install, then it's ready to launch/play. You only need to set the IP of the server to connect to in serverlist.txt (server.lua for FW). For more advanced users there is an auto patcher (CPW) with this package and the two files: updateserver.txt and mainuni.xml also need the IP of the server set in them for the patcher to work.
There is an entire WEALTH of knowledge about this package in a file called "adminnotes.txt" that can actually be found in two locations. A copy of adminnotes.txt is included with pw_dev.iso in a directory named AdminNotes and with the v136 base installation package in /root/notes/
Some of the more technical aspects/details:
This (server) package (and all of the 'addons') *MUST* be installed as the root user/account of Linux!
This (server) package MUST be installed on Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS x64 (included)!
Ports (what ports this package will utilize):
-29000 this is the game port (server-client game communications)
-80 a basic website that is ran on the server so that accounts can be registered (and more even including a help desk)
-8080 a tomcat JSP container for the above website and administrator controls
-3306 the MySQL database for user accounts (should not be open to WAN if running a public server)
Default passwords (CaSe SeNsItIvE):
MySQL = username:root password:root (access from localhost ONLY)
MySQL = username:pwAdmin password:root (access from ANY host)[ie... for BatGM, or Navicat]
.htaccess (/opt/lampp/security/restricted.users & restricted.groups) = username:pwAdmin password:root
pwAdmin = root
hesk (help desk/ticket system) = username:Administrator password:admin

this is the easiest " 1 click " install system ever .... u dont need to do an extra thing except reading ... all works 100% !!! anyone not work ... try brain 5.0 ...
btw no one need to start minimal system, try pwAdmin, admin server ...
Yes, yes, but DHCP assigns weird tngz, see, creatin 2 VMware Net Adapterz, see, given "easysetup" by UBNTX failing tu tauk teh proper router configurationz.
't least I knouw tht it's DHCP silliness instud of server-side problum.
Jus one ting. Since no WAN available, what 2 typez d'ring 'nstalationz? Tyz kindly.
i understand nothing ....
okay, but i cannot connect to the pwAdmin/iweb/register/admin pages... any fix?
:thumbup1: Appreciate your signature.
If that's the case I'll respond in a worthy manner in order to gain a better understanding of my problem. Since I've installed a VMware net adapter in the previous installation of UBUNTU from the given epic package of mr/moderator the question is now what sort of IP should I assign in order to make a small LAN party across router-based AP network?
I've tried pretty much every trick I know regarding changing the IP via sudo vi which ultimately led me to make a fresh, clean installation without any VMware net adapter installed (given that there're no internet prerequisites required in order to start the automatically preconfigured server). I'll try to use local 127.0.0.1 and try to see if there's going to be any success just to get server going.
Also, if not a stretch, and for the sake of sharing the knowledge in an altruistic manner, would you pleaseafter you do a min server start? I'd like to compare with mine because the network adapters are not communicating properly @ my place. Danke.Code:netstat -nat
The only problem we ran into was with 136, everything loaded but hit a wall when trying to enter game after character creation.
We're hosting a tiny server, 5 people, and are finding it really hard to get the items we want. We're using VMware to host, currently using v1.4.6. pwdatebase item #'s don't seem to work for spawning most items via web panel, or we're missing the hash id's, but we can't seem to spawn the items that we want to use. We've managed to get the server up and everyone can connect, but we really just need an easy way to access the store items and higher level gear/mounts/etc just to play around. Prices etc don't matter we're giving everyone as much as they want, we just really need an easy way to access the items. We're actually looking for someone to help us configure it, but even being pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to everyone involved in these projects, you're amazing.
I finally managed to get inside for a common test. NAT = cr4p.
Anyway, typeand you should have one 127.0.0.1 address for srvr and one bridged for the lulz. in my case it's the only address that router accepted.Code:ifconfig
Anyway this was the way to get into pwAdmin
http://x.x.x.x:8080/pwAdmin
Misplace the x x x x with ur ip of
ifconfig
Be sure to be root i.e sudo -i.
Keiko, to access LAN, I set my VMWare network settings as bridged, check the box beneath as well... it assigns the VMWare an internal IP on your LAN.
Yes, yes, micropanther. Got that one. Stil how to get cubi shop?! Gonna just use it for lan party, nu online domain stuff. database isn't in navicat pwAdmin/root : / : / : /
phpmyadmin also shows no reference to items in-server, can't place some sqljections. I care no for 1.4.x cr4p etc, just 136.
okay so every time i got to my ip/admin inside mozilla firefox/google chrome it shows up as a white screen...
Told y'a, tryz teh, check if it showz teh eth0 as inet6 or nouz. If does, find a clay to edit grub file in etc/lolo.Code:ifconfig
If you got N47 cr4p, reinstall 'ntire ubuntu'n'136[etc[etc] in orderh to check bridged to your physical addressssss. Nau, check teh router config via (default) 192.168.0.1 (or whthever ur router default gtway is) and see if the address u gave to VMware meanz anything to router love. If u haev NAT type netwrk it'lll be cr4p for ths build, someone proves it worng?!
Nanyway taek my wordz and it'll work like mr.proper hidraulico gel. Smooth'n'silky. Drop auto intet6 if u haez Win7 which VMware gibs to it by default for no real purposez.
Merry joy to you. 4zks moar if it pleases.
EDIT : Perhaps what troubles you is inet misconfiguration. Do this as root (sudo -i)
It'll look like this. If it does not, MAKE IT DOES MWAHAHACode:nano /etc/network/interfaces
Nau, all the x's will be transmutulatoconfigured into appropriate numbas of mathematical nirvana. I.E.Code:# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system

address : The address u wanna be the one and only address in the universe of your PC. (Example : 192.168.0.300) But you can't haz 300 since other numbers will be sad. So stick with 255 for defining solitary bytez. Much info.
netmas : 255.255.255.0 or else chip goes boom! (usually)
broadcast : First two digits of your Address accompanied by two 255's (Example : 192.168.255.255)
gateway : The router gateway which your Windows adapter uses. If u don't know how to acess it go to winOS and find ur network connection and read the stats of it/properties. Given the previous examples, for instance, the imaginary routed will use 192.168.0.1 meaning that you can haz up to 244 different computers connected to it ergo 255.255.255.0
After you're done editing with NANO, press CTRL + O in order to save (press enter to save it when it asks) anD CTRL+X in order to send it back to hell. Nau, jus type reboot and watch magics! Magics I tell ya!
If it doesn't work, make some love to the router configuration. Check ur serial if anything else mishapenz ... call the provider ISP and tell them that ur router is cr4p, lolo! Stay rigid.
Sendz themz using pwAdmin panul end send via e-mail to user IDs. Some Fashionz won't workz, but who caerz for gibsing itemz nanyway?! Lan party amazing, just add some coinz and lvl 10 mountz/wingz and dac it. GMlike itemz ruin teh game which iz already a much chore. Carez, regardzies.Quote:

EPIC QUESTION / I can't get into GETITEM plugin. It asks Username and Password, but I've no idea what they are nor what I'm supposed to do. Help!
@Keiko123
Do you think you could learn to spell???
I could barely read what you just said Keiko123
EDITED : I have a question. During the PWserver installation of 136, it asked me for LAN and WAN addresses. Where can I change them, what file exactly? I'm a bit tired of ls-ing and opening everything separately. I also think it's an important information to change it via text editor if possible since I'm sure that it's in some conf or xml, txt etc... I just can't find which one. Thing is...my plugins in pwAdmin do not see the IP that I assigned when I started the server and even though it's static now for the V.machine the plugins still search for the IP which I inserted when I started LAN/WAN. So where can I edit those values in order to have all plugins fully capable of working? Some of them just give me "page not found".

Well, yes, yes. Spelling is good for your health. Proper typing may lead to an adequate reading without much usage of brain nor willingness to actually solve problems. And solving is the best part! Uniqueness shouldn't be an obstacle, yes, yes.

Mr, Fluzzy :
Step 1 - Check whether you have a router device (TPlink, Dlink, Cisco) and I hope that you know how to configure the IPs in it and allow ports. If not, you should ask someone more competent in your near vicinity.
Step 2 - Install Ubuntu from the package by using "easy install" and be sure to NOT make it "Nat" type. In fact, if you can't choose it there's an option in the VMware box in VM>Settings>Network adapter. The configuration should be "Connected" and "Bridged (connected directly to physical network)". Replicate physical state is an neat option if you're not using RJ45 cat 5 cable to connect PC network card to the router itself.
Step 3 - Install PWS of your choice. If you add FW, be sure to make it service-like. Otherwise it won't work.
Step 4 - PWS will ask for your IP of choice. It has to be on the same network mask like your router. (Default 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1). Check your network address by going to Start > Run ~ type CMD and in CMD type ipconfig /all
Step 5 - Add the PWS IP based on the subnet mask of your network. If your network address is 192.168.0.101, make the IP for VMware to be 192.168.0.105.
Step 6 - Configure ROUTER by typing the default gateway address in browser. In it, configure the DHCP so that it allows the connection 192.168.0.105 and be sure to firstly check the MAC address (usually router finds it by checking what's connected). Port forward 2005 and 2006 by using the gateway IP and list ALL protocols (just in case you want to play it with someone outside LAN, but still do it since sometimes router acts weirdly)
Step 7 - Reboot VMware and type "sudo su" to enter root. As a root, type "ifconfig" and see if eth0 (default name) is listing a regular "inet" or just "inet6". If under inet it says "192.168.0.105", you're good to go to pwAdmin, after you start the actual server by typing as root
followed byCode:cd /PWServer/136/
(or ./start_min just for this testing)Code:./start_max.sh
After that you're going to check exactly this. Make sure that your browser doesn't add HTTPS or is using proxy.
Step 8 - If there's no inet option under ifconfig command, you have to editCode:http://192.168.0.105:8080/pwAdmin/
You canCode:/etc/network/interfaces
but I prefer the easyCode:sudo vi /etc/network/interfaces
.Code:nano /etc/network/interfaces
address should be, in this case, 192.168.0.105Code:# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
# The primary network interface
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address x.x.x.x
netmask x.x.x.x
broadcast x.x.x.x
gateway x.x.x.x
netmask should be, in this case, 255.255.255.0
broadcast should be, in this case, 192.168.255.255
gateway should be, in this case, 192.168.0.1
DNS are not important since gateway configures automatically with dhcp of its own.
Step over 9000 - reboot. Sudo -i. cd /PWServer/blabla/ >>>>> ./start_max.sh >>>> check pwAdmin and its plugins.
I already gave myself an epic GM sword etc and I figured this all out without any knowledge of linux/ubuntu, ports, IPs at all. So c'mon, do some work!
thanks for the reply im going to see if this works.Spoiler:
Invalid Service Request when trying to make anything at all. How to solve this. What file should be edited by using strictly terminal ubuntu.
--------
So to add to my question list :
1 - How to add fashion items which "send mail" lists as valid?
2 - How to configure the IPs of LAN/WAN since I can't find it in /opt/.../
3 - How to add more than one item such as "speaker" item and where would I have to edit plugins for such a thing?
This is an extra question - Is it possible to run the pw_tools programs (some of them) without using ubuntu gui OS?
I have searched trough entire forum and I couldn't find anything which makes up for my problem, even though there are some solutions but nothing which solved my problem in particular, which led me to open the topic. So, please, don't give me links of topics with 300 pages and say how I should search more. Help, or don't help. That's only just.
My linux/ubuntu knowledge is restricted, but I do learn based on trial/error. I'm sure that more experienced people on this forum can help by at least giving a hint of the procedure for which I'm sure will need editing the particular data.
I'm using a ubuntu terminal and "The complete PW package" by 343 (this link) where there's no clear significant effort to explain the method of usage of the pw_tools in regards to editing files from WinOS to Ubuntu via VMware (or any other program for that manner). While compiling it all to several ISO's is a so/so remarkable task, for it to be truly user friendly there should be a significant explanation of the each particular program. As such, the package is meant for people who're already familiar with the forum as well as software made for different versions of PW builds, and not complete newbies such as myself who're not lacking the will to learn trough trial/error manifesto.
Which is why I need to know how to enable the crafting system in /PWServer/136 and let me just add that there's pwAdmin136 in /opt/ as well as pwAdmin, alongside with iweb136 and regular iweb. Is that normal and is there any benefit from having, obviously, not one but two working php navigation methods?! Aside from that there's no inclination of how to install/enable additional plugins nor how to enable the gshop (described as pay-to-win agenda by 343). How to do it all without possessing the means of a gui based ubuntu system, using VMware for emulation?!
Do I have to add each item manually or is there some I/O pattern which will allow me to edit a single text column? Is there a method to access the 127.0.0,1 of the PW MySql from Navicat by using port 3306 and root/root?! Do I need to possess the gui based system in order to "open" the data" files stored inside the virtual machine and, even so, how to do it?
wrong section ... if you have problems wie 343 release try original thread ...
I did, of course. But I don't want to spam there anymore. Besides, why is this a wrong section? I need help from experienced users.
dont know if you got a response from this but i know exactly the problem.
your probably starting with pwAdmin. i know this method craps out alot.. so go to PWServer/146/ and ./start_min.sh then you will be able to create your characters and play on the game.

1.) your send mail list may actually be invalid. wrong items or codes.
2.) you should know your ip and wan before you install the server.
3.) dont really understand the question. are you talking about eledit or gshop or what... as ive seen you can only add one at a time. and edit plugins? what plugins.
EXTRA QUESTION 4.) yes you can run programs in pw_tools in ubuntu with a program called playonlinux and create a profile called PW_TOOLS so all required software is needed. you just have to make sure you add required net frameworks and dll's required to run on ubuntu OS.
There are no missing files on my server, those files you mention (for the location you mention) do NOT belong there...
There is a 'utility' you can use to change this IP in /root/ called ipset.sh  (also thank you for bringing it up, adding this to the instructions)
this release work 100% ... server start / addons start / char create / etc ...
i was a beta tester. this works on everything.
dont even question it... it works 100% and all that needs to be known is a bit of know how to even run it... this is the simplest setup you can ever require.
i even managed to get this running on an arm7 android. as ram is limited it cannot start map but everything else started. with some minor tweaks... but unlike what ive done NONE OF YOU would ever try running a server on an android device.. i was just stating that i can for the simplicity and mind that it can be done.. but completely pointless.. its just a point that its that easy to do.
those who cannot install the server in this simple setup.. dont ask how to fix because you have clearly done it wrong. i have 5 computers going from windows to mac and all running different os's and as long as you know the structure of the PWServer you shouldnt have any problems. so if you really actually have a problem state your log here. because there should not be any problems... i believe me and 343 and at least another 5 - 7 more people have tested it at the most extremes. so please use your questions to any ACTUAL problems
all you need to know is your IP and WAN and then its setup... depending on the version your running just type service pwversion and the number to run that server. that should be all thats needed.
Got a problem here.
If you can state the problem here, I can fix it on my own. :D
http://imageshack.com/a/img585/9884/udml.png
Btw, all things worked out until I logged in to the client then "timed-out" appeared.
TIA :D
@343 - Thank you. I did found it earlier, though, but thanks nonetheless.
@88supra86 - The plugins that I speak of are the gshop and similar. Some of them do not work. They ask for username and password to enter, but afterwards it's just blank. I have to disagree with your conjecture regarding the ease of access given that it requires basic ubuntu/linux knowledge, knowledge about routing and knowledge about IPs themselves. Most of kids that I know are not aware of such things and I think that it should be just to make a proper tutorial in order to share the knowledge and also make others to learn while testing.
Regardless of that, since you're experienced and given that you state how "everything" works, why is crafting not working on 136? If it requires editing the file via terminal, that means additional work after the "easy setup".
You have it here and, please, be sure to make a response http://forum.ragezone.com/f756/inval...1/#post7952541 regarding that particular problem. Thank you in advance for your time and effort.
Can someone help me with this?
When I type : 192.168.xxx.xxx/admin it shows me a blank page, Please help.

Can someone help me with this?
When I type : 192.168.xxx.xxx/admin it shows me a blank page, Please help.
this is why i hate torrent..first download speed was okay then after a few hours it go to 1~10 kbps...
Guys can someone tell me why does my PWADMIN show a blank page?
Can a different version of Ubuntu be used? My VMware apparently can't use 'ubuntu-12.04.3-server-amd64'
Guys can someone tell me why does my PWADMIN show a blank page?
Can someone please tell me why does my IP/admin says
This webpage is not available?
*I have tried everything, but still nothing. Please tell me any thing that would help me, even if your not sure I will still try it.
Thanks in advance
As far as how you've pointed out there is a ../pwAdmin/ AND a ../pwAdmin136 you've just discovered the redundant directory structure that I use for people to be able to have ALL versions installed at once. Since each version requires it's own version of pwAdmin I had to have a way my 'script' (service) pwversion could change the directory for ../pwAdmin/ without the user having to anything other than type 'service pwversion' (or even know about what's going on in the background). So, that being said, in case you don't understand, on more way to explain here:
If you install pw 136 AND pw 146 you will notice there will be ../pwAdmin/ & ../pwAdmin136/ & ../pwAdmin146/ in /opt/apache-tomcat-5.5.28/webapps/
This is because whichever one is IN ../pwAdmin/ at the time is the one actually being used by you when you type http://your.servers.ip.here/admin or the likes
So, lets say you're using pw136 so you type "service pwversion 136"
The pwversion service will, in the background, delete ../pwAdmin/ and copy a fresh copy of ../pwAdmin136/ to ../pwAdmin/
Now since you've said to use pw136, pwAdmin136 is all ready and set
Now say you wanna change to pw146 so you type "service pwversion 146"
the pwversion service will again, remove ../pwAdmin/ & replace it with a fresh copy of and from ../pwAdmin146/
SO
That all being said, hopefully now you understand it (it's obvious when you look at the actual pwversion service I created :ott1:)
and, all that being said
DO NOT EVER touch the directories with the version numbers within them such as ../pwAdmin136/ or ../pwAdmin146/ since those are meant to be the virgin directories to refresh to any and every time you switch services
IF you're going to modify pwAdmin stuff I ONLY support you editing it within the ../pwAdmin/ directory!
This way if you fuck up you can just run the service pwversion and that will fix anything you break!
If you get a 'webpage not available' message when you use your SERVERs IP/admin you have not properly set up the networking. For (ALL) servers you need to set up a STATIC IP (NOT dynamic). Please set your servers IP to a static IP then run "./ipset.sh" in /root/

Sorry, there is NO other officially supported version.

I know that part may not have been directed directly to me but, I feel compelled to respond anyway
This package doesn't really require much Linux knowledge at all, as long as a person can figure out how to log in (certainly NOT rocket science) and mount an optical disc (or ISO). However ALL servers (this one being no different) DO require a BASIC/MINIMUM knowledge of networking, if someone is so naive in networking that they don't even know the difference between static and dynamic IP, or even what an IP *IS* then yes, they have no business trying to run ANY kind of server (let alone PW)!!! I have even been MORE than generous to make a thread like THIS ONE for those completely ignorant to the basics of computer networking! Which I clearly did not really have to do since this is the PW development section after all and not "Linux how to" or "networking how to" section. Also I would like to know how 'crafting' does not work in 136, as that portion of the package has been around forever and this is the first I'm hearing of anything about there being anything wrong with crafting! Are you not using the same exact server and client that I provide in the package? That would be the only thing I could think of that would hinder crafting from working for you.My v136 is HIGHLY 'custom' technically (even though it's meant to highly mimic official PWi), so if you don't use my server AND client together, you WILL get problems! It is also well known that I have removed the "boutique" as it does only promote the 'pay to play' agenda, for official AND for private servers ("donate gears" anyone :ott1:) so I took it out, it's useless. I do not support its use, so if you desire to use it, you'll figure it out :D: Also so you know, most if not all the tools on pw_dev.iso are meant to be used in Winblows... If you ever have a blank screen from any of the web interface just use F5 or CTRL+F5.

Never seen or recall hearing of that message, though it actually doesn't say much if anything at all. To find out what's really going on you'd have to post your client and or server logs here please (and don't forget to use code and or spoiler tags ) If no actual errors are found within logs it could also just be a lack of RAM on the server and or client as well
