ya i use LTS as well. i was reading up that its the most stable server release thats been done, and that anything newer then the lTS can and probably will have some issues.

only follow the last guide up to when it says change so many different files. you only need to change 3 files that 343 mentions in his tutorial

Yep, this should be common sense though (ofc you'll have people that think the newest is best, since "it's the latest, it must be the greatest" LMFAO *NO* Obviously LTS is going to be very stable (best), since they're offering LONG TERM SUPPORT for it ;) :p

You're too nice -- my video shows more than adequately how to install it, and it's the same on any machine. No matter whether it's a physical machine, VMware, or VBOX, etc... ... Only real difference is, a person would have to actually know how to use VMware or VBOX (ie... network config) -- which also means they need to grasp simple networking... I think this is all just 'beyond some people' and no matter how much they receive help, you'll just wind up wiping their ass, or they'll wind up quitting. Networking / running a server is not for everybody... (but it's also not complicated to learn if you're dedicated to do so)...
I don't say this to offend anyone (or to be mean), I am all about teaching and helping, however this section is "Server Development / Perfect World" section, not "learning networking" section... Also, I was nice enough to make the really nice n long thread on ¤ the basics of networking ¤ for those that are new to the concept of networking...
Anywhoot, if you intend on making any videos, my video screen capture program of choice is ¤ GUNCAM ¤ (I like it better than Fraps...) ;)

Nice, downloaded your files got the server thing made one of my own servers "Land of Might" but now trying to make myself a username cuz no one is running server so im trying that VMWare thing

343 is absolutely right ! This is a SERVER DEVELOPMENT thread and not some kind of a basic network "tutorial". Sorry guys. Ahm is it possible to move my posts to the more appropriate thread?
@ 88supra86: i use camtasia studio LINK It's really a handy program since it's very intuitive and easy to use, good video quality and 5 minutes of video is only 10MB more or less after rendering. ;)

Client - Server packs
got vmware
but doesnt say anything about a *****_desktop***
just says Windows Vista Experimental n stuff
sometimes when i press run project my computer freezes for 16 minutes
but ive got 70GB memory still
I can run the client from patcher, but also says
"Unable to Connect to Update Server" I figured that one out because its in the patcher.ini or w/e it says a website 10.0.0 something /patches
So once i make one i will fix that
But i need to figure out how to Run the server cuz VMWare Freezes comp after i try to run it
I can get on to the log on page
but need to run it so the server is online and so i can create an account
Once agen if u cn help tht wuld be great, if u got TeamViewer would be even more greater

HOLY CRAP sounds like you got some serious problems. first you need to format your computer because thats just not right lol.
then download vmware or vbox and do it over.
as for 343's tutorial if you follow it you should connect fine. with a little tweaking of your vbox/vmware you should be able to get live access...
i dont even know where to start to help you. aside from the fact you got some serious problems on your PC
make sure your resolv.conf is set to your gateway. i know a few ppl for some reason have to change it

Can't find jail. Read in another post it uses the CoA map, but not sure what it's for or even how to get to it. Any suggestions? Still waiting on easter egg hints btw.

the town maps like etherblade house, beast house and elf house those are houses open from if you own that territory i beleive... as for the jail one. i also am not familiar with that one

yup couldnt agree more with you this release is amazing and of course all the thanks goes to 343 for his outstanding work and keeping up with the quests. just happy to be able to do a few test runs for him, and i hope you keep up the good work man. the way i see it. you must be coming up to a final release
by the way the translated program i released from the russian forum i beleive should be at its final stage. little minor tweaks here and there. just so you know. if you want to add the final one to your next release.
