Hello 343, May I ask you something? What did you put in your models.pck? And what can be removed or moved to other *.pck? Because it's very huge (near 2gb.....) and if I update it, the models.pck will be corrupted because of size limit for *.pck
Please answer me... I love your release but if we can't update it it will be a big problem! >.<
Honestly Rom, just kept updating it for the longest time from official PWi, and then I made an add from JD I think it was for z9 and q20 .... Other than that you should know PWi is near the limit themselves so there wont be much you can delete... This is another reason I am officially giving up on 'staying up to date'... There's really no reason for it - we need to stop feeding off them especially since they're creating so much FAIL anyways :lol: That and/or figure out how to change the limit to 4GB...

Romulan, if you want to add new models, why not just use configs.pck instead?
Maybe you're right. I'm also lazy. And also use a graphical interface.

@Deron, a GUI eats extra RAM and makes the server unstable, a GUI is a BAD idea for any server of any kind
Fashion and armor do not have ecm paths simply a folder path to the skis. @ Rom, I have been digging through the client models and there is a ton of mobs, mounts, npcs from other games not even properly working in it. You can also go into where character skins are and remove all of the Tideborn skins as they are not needed. Just as an example, unpck models and do a search for this, then back out 1 or 2 folders to find a lot more unused things.Spoiler:

I hadn't tried it on 11.04 because of all the issues I had with the client on 11.04 desktop. As you can see above, it runs on 11.04 fine, so that will be my next server build.
I'd like to further note, that I don't think there's going to be a large enough difference between Server 9 through server 11 to really make any changes at all in how you install the server. It's just about how you install the OS. (even there the change is minimal.)
I run on 11.04 server edition ubuntu, DON'T USE DESKTOP EDITION

The links are all ok, I downloaded all of them (using a premium account of Megaupload valid 24 hours, really cheap and i don't need more than that) and the files were all ok. I'm trying to mount my own local server, but my only problem is that i'm using Mac... I'll try to do it anyway, and if that is possible, I'll post how.

How is that a problem... There are Macintosh builds of Virtualbox and theoretically you could run the files natively on a Mac as Mac is Unix just like Linux...Quote:

Учитывая, что онлайн не поднимается выше 15, это нормально.
Не важно, по какой ОС вы будете устанавливать сервер.
Если руки кривые - то хоть 100 видео гайдов сделайте и напишите 100 страниц подробнейшей инструкции, это все равно не поможет. И будут еще тысячи тупых вопросов, типа "помогите, закачал, а оно не работает".
И таких вопросов, тут, очень много.
Прежде, чем начать заниматься сервером ПВ нужно иметь элементарные знания системы "Линукс", и только потом уже браться за сам сервер, и не как не наоборот.

I, personally, it is more convenient to work under 11.04 desktop.

From the beginning, I started to put on 11.04 desktop.
Given that the line does not rise above 15, it is normal.

If the hands curve - then at least 100 video guides make and write 100 pages of detailed instructions, it still does not help. And there will be thousands more stupid questions, like "help me, shook, and it does not work."
This topic is full of such questions.
Before you start doing server PW should have a basic knowledge of the system "Linux", and only then take up the server itself, and not as the reverse.

I have this release running on a physical machine now for 1 week or so.
Yesterday we did a TW (first one) and straight after TW was won..the Game Daemon Database crashed..in admin i could see it had turned itself off.

When im starting up the services from terminal everything runs fine with no errors and continues to run fine even after the database fails.
Ive tried the rebuild.sh option and this works fine with no errors..but still this problem of database shutting down occurs.

I think that if that was problem surely server would have crashed prior as it did when i tried to restat a ring (deleted that ring and for another time)
So im at a loss..did the rebuild, tried a dozen times to restart but 8 seconds later it crashes.
So my question is what is the path to the logs for the game database daemon logs to see if i can see any errors..and does anyone ever have this problem and can suggest remedy?

Plain of farewells seems to me where my db has crashed each-time...just a theory but 2x now its happened on this land acquisition.
