Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤
nope i did unpack the old client and apply this, then i applied the newest client, in this order, old one first then the very newest.
In the client itself, this is the designated path to patch "http://sifon.servegame.com/cpw/"
Maybe my path to patch is insufficient?..im not sure tbh, although im thinking my path is correct because the client states and shows there is no problem with pathway...however no update seems to be waiting serverside cpw so no update comes through client-side.
I have re-appplied the ./cpw revision command, this time omitting the number 2 at the end of command so that command to initiate revision is ./cpw revision
Will see what the outcome of this is i suppose.

I should mention that this revision was the first revision performed on this fresh install, and when i used the revision command i used the number 2, should i have written ./cpw revision 1 as my command instead of ./cpw revision 2 ? Would this have made a difference?, really hoping to nail why im failing. Thank you again, any ideas are appreciated.

My client is actually on version 31 at this point and working fine. I do not put any kind of number after revision when I make a patch, simply put "./cpw revision". Make sure are you performing this task from the cpw directory as root.

I'm not entirely sure if you meant this current 'release' has a 'broken' aipolicy, but if that is what you meant I can assure you it is not ;)
If you mean, not to change my files (use anyone else's aipolicy [or any other files for that matter]) then -- I have to agree, as I cannot, DO not, and will NOT support changing any of my files (has to be that way as a full 'release').
:):
Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤
343 I ask forgiveness. their AI works perfect. That was the problem. Do not change files
Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤
I am amazed at how a lot of the people of RZ have no respect. I can understand informing someone of an issue with something they have released, but lately it seems that 343 has been having to defend himself and his release against false statements.
Myself and many others of this community that use this release have great respect for 343 and his work. This is well over 2 years worth of his work that he freely gives to the community without asking anything in return. It is just ridiculous for someone that hasn't even made 50 posts here to come in and say that his release doesn't work or is broken.
If you download his full server & client release there are no "major" flaws with it, and anything that may be found he acknowledges and it is typically fixed by the next release if not before. If you choose to stick random parts from other clients/servers into his release and then complain when it doesn't work, and it's his fault, that is just sad.
Learn to read, learn to respect, don't post without knowing what you are talking about. I stand on my belief, this is the best, most complete full package client/server release there is, many times over my compliments and thanks 343, you are an asset to the RZ community.
Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤
im really at a loss now...i thought ive done everything right but obviously not.
I re-did my revision using ./cpw revision
After a long length of time it finishes and so i restart server and fire up client on other pc.
I still cant get my client to update.
All out of ideas...
Going back over my processes im sure ive kept client structure and did perform initial build with the previous released client.
I know the revision worked and i do see files in the opt/cpw/files/CPW section...all though some are weirdly represented by gvscA== types of directory names, i figure this is normal.
Its strange because my old client that im using to check for update (previous released client) shows that it connects to the update server but yet no update comes through.
At a loss to what im doing wrong.
I have a very noob question left in me however...i was reading and re-reading the cpw notes and ofc noticed the instructions for initialising cpw and its database which i didnt do on this release because i assumed it was allready included in this release, was i supposed to initialise the cpw installation in this new release also?
I checked the sql databse files with phpmyadmin and saw evidence of cpw and 45mb of "something" in there, so im assuming cpw was automatically installed when i installed this new release..is my assumption correct that it installed automatically on this release installation?
BTW i fired up the new client and noticed immediately that my blazing tempest eyes were all correct. ty 343
Last Edit--- im going to re do the initial build and then re-do the revision. Also going to re-unpack the old client and new client.
Along the way of un-packing, i will check all directories for structure and contents.
I did notice that when performing the "verify" proccess on the old client and new client it hangs and errors at the logs directory so i think i did something wrong here...will post back when done...assuming i did have install of cpw automatically on server install.
Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤
Not sure if you've already found/fixed this, the water mobs' hp keeps re-setting on OHT (Chrono City's first map). Namely the Farland Clams, Farland Tortoise, Farland Mermaid, Farland Kraufis, and Farland Crustan. Think they're the right names :) Land mobs are fine, haven't tried out the air mobs yet.
I know this happens on some mobs that are "stuck" but it was happening to the mobs free-floating in the water. I haven't edited any maps or added anything to your release regarding mobs, tasks, npc data ect. So no idea what's causing this if it's just my end :/
Edited to add: the Weeping Ghost npc is also missing from Chrono World 1, unless you stuck her elsewhere :p
Also, thank you very much for putting in the Chrono World mobs, that must have taken you aaages
Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤
