Hi all. I have a question regarding the network adapter type in the virtual machine and the settings. The video is clear how to input the IP addresses but I didn't find any info about the VM settings itself. I'm using VBox. IS the adapter type a NAT, Bridged, Host Only or?

Only reason I ask is that when I stop the automatic DHCP setup during the intall and manually input the 10.0.0.51, 255.255.0.0, 10.0.0.27, and the 10.0.0.31 I noticed that the intall no longer connects to the internet to download other parts of the install. It hangs.

If I remember correctly VBox has a static internal IP address like 10.0.2.15 or something similar that can't be changed. I'll continue to mess with it tomorrow. It's late here. It could be that I'm just plain stupid too.

Ok so I got a little sleep last night. I'm actually in the process of reading through every post in this thread and a few others and I'm confident I'll get it figured out eventually. The answers are here I just have to search for them.

Also I've seen a lot of issues people are having with using updated versions of the ubuntu server distro regarding the /dev/cdrom /cdrom thingy. The command to mount the cdrom is: mount /dev/scd0 media/cdrom (for the love of God after the Server_Root.iso is inserted into the VM!) then copy the contents with the command cp -Rv media/cdrom cdrom or something like that.

Anyway, this is fun.

your gs01.log says that anythink is wrong with id 28016

and i dont know why your database server not starting .. i never got it :P but i hope someone else can help you

Glad to hear you were able to get your map service issue resolved... If you're still having difficulty with the game DB you may want to consider just deleting it, and starting blank (any characters, inventories etc... WILL be LOST!) To do this, simply assure all game 'services' are *stopped* and delete the contents of /PWServer/gamedbd/dbhomewdb/dbdata , then the next time you start the server it will create a new DB :):

Hiya 343 and thank you for all your generous work.

Found a bug/glitch on the female wizard..when customizing from the first noble preset my wife and i couldnt get the presets to stay and on confirm did revert back to default.
If we modify on default settings manually the presets do stay to what we have modified.
We tried a makeover scroll with this first noble setting and the hair reverted back to default but not the rest of the facial features.
Havent tried out any other female wizard presets yet.

Room 34 in the cube gives dice 14 which is the incorrect quest for room 34.

Room 16 of cube has wrong mob, it has the mob 18800 which is mob for room 43..the mob should be 18729 i believe.

COF Directorate letter -Shrong NPC appears to not be present in cube so the letter is not able to be used, or is Shrong somewhere else?- just curious.

Marriage -We have tried 3 times to make the marriage stick using packs and waiting 10 minutes but it isnt sticking..i put the lvl of the game to 150 would this have anything to do with why i cant stay married?

On a side note about the Eldest MatchMaker being in the chapel...this does disable the ability to use tokens to make wedding wines at forge and trade for Bounty Hunt wine at the matchmaker as you need a wedding invitation to go into chapel.

On an awesome note my friends and i invaded dragon temple and did every quest and every chest we dug and killed every mob and it all worked excellent.
Finally i have a noob question on cpw.. after ive done my initial build and first revision, can i continue to just do revisions? or should i treat the last revision as the 2nd initial build and the new release then as the revision in this order?

I dont know what it is with the releases or if its the upload its self but for some reason everyone gets this problem. i have fixed mine but the files are no different then the ones in the release. ive still been trying to find the actual issue as 343 and i have compared files regarding the wedding and they are both the same.:blink: it is very strange

if you look carefully the bride and groom pack they contain the invitation you have 100 of them or so otherwise how did you get in the room to attempt to get married to begin with. :thumbup:

Yes i did notice the 100 invites but what for the people that havent married or when they eventually run out..it doesnt really matter however as there are other options to make wine..

im sure there are other ways. put wine in the botique or make different quests to make better options or make them drops from select mobs you could change them any way you want to just takes time and patience sometimes.

luckily you dont have a 2002 desktop when trying to test new models. (25 minutes to pack 15 minutes to unpack and then repeat)

I must say, the thing about tokens and wine, I actually did that on purpose! I am a pack/token HATER (they totally fucked the real game)... Although this is not the only or even primary reason he is in there now, I originally put him in there because I thought people should be getting married IN the chapel. I thought about the QQs I would probably receive when/if I run my own 'public' server, but I figure if too many ppl QQ'd I would just delete the quest all together... I guess now people also have more of a reason to get married, attempt to attend others 'weddings' (or people that use my release as a 'base' have to figure out 'how' they want to 'resolve' this like supra said...)... That or at least those wedding invites wont be "throw-a-ways" ~~ they will be quite a trading commodity (actually worth something to someone opposed to just being your 'ticket' into the chapel)...

That or, OH NO, people would actually have to MINE materials again to make wine :o OMG NOOOOOO :lol:

Finally using your release, now that I bought a new PC it seems like a good time to change from Ronny's release.

EDIT: Why's Megaupload so slow..? I have 19MB downloads according to Speedtest.net and yet this file is DLing at 200kb/s >.<

I'm confused as to why the Un-packed client is a smaller download than the packed version. I'm thinking of packed as in a compressed file..in which case surely the packed client would be smaller o.o

Maybe I'm just being stupid..but could someone tell me before I download the client :thumbup:

dont know why .. but sometimes the downloadspeed limited to ~200kb ...
try to make the downloadlink to premium --> Premium Link Generator <-- and rename the file after download to original ... it worked for me

Okay, so I finally got it all downloaded and I tried to mount the .iso in virtual box and gave me the error: Could not get the storage format of server_root.iso.
The first thing I did was to check the MD5, and that was fine..so it hasn't been damaged. Maybe it's something up with Vbox...
