I prefer Vbox because I found it a little easier to install and work with, but it really is personal choice as they're doing the same thing. Neither is really "better", maybe download both if you can and just try them, see which fits you best.

VMWare is better, imo
VMWare player wreaks of "My First UI design" At least Virtualbox doesn't look like shit...
