Again, I think you need to read and re-read here Absolute basics in networking (TCP/IP) -- Hosting 101, until you have a better understanding of basic networking.

10.0.0.51 (or 192.168.1.51) or whatever your servers LAN IP is will ONLY work from within your LAN. If you want to 'open the server' to a friend or to 'the public' -- their clients would need your WAN IP (or domain name) in their serverlist.txt. If you do not know what your WAN IP is, one quick way to get a jump start would be to visit here: What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address That will give you your WAN IP -- A few things to remember though, (especially dependent on your connection) your IP may (and probably does) change (anywhere from everytime you connect, to years)... The other thing to bear in mind is that you MUST have ports 29000 80 and 8080 open to the WAN (no firewall blocking them) or else your friends / 'public' still will not be able to play either!

14. After the first operating system - open a terminal and type sudo passwd root

Then run the update manager from the menu - system - administration, install all the updates that will find the system.

Then open terminal and proceed to the installation server according to Hyde's 343, in the terminal.

Circled in red - is the IP of your virtual machine.
IP does not change as long as your computer is connected to the Internet.
After you turn off and on - check the IP again and again, specify a new address in the three files and customer serverlist games.

Yes, you can do anything you want with the 'guild base' or 'guild houses'. I don't have any 'official' NPCGEN or anything else for them (and b05 [guild 'house'] has never been 'officially' implemented).

I'm not sure off the top of my head which fields control the '24 hour reset' but if you mess around with editing tasks.data I'm sure you'll find it -- yes you can change it (remove it, make it longer etc.) -- Just do not forget to edit the client AND server side tasks.data (or it wont work)

Yes, this sounds correct. There is a 'guild house' that anyone and everyone can 'port' to (the hidden teleport behind the guild NPC in archosaur) -- However the xTOWN-NAMEx-house can only be accessed through that towns 'officer' so only people from the land owning guild/faction can gain access.
