Do you plan to make a release with EG/TB classes when the files are easily available?
probably not, I HATE those classes...
Damn, your release has been by far the easiest to install and least buggy.
Would you not even do it for a cookie? *holds cookie and uses puppy eyes*
P.S. I want a level 120 Seeker. Big shiny sword mmmmmm...
Well I do (and have before) admit that it would be 'cool' to have 1.4.4 to 'mess around with' IDK that I would ever want to actually 'run' a 1.4.4 server, therefore don't know if I'd ever bother with a 'release'...
Although that auto-pathing is really tempting... So who knows... Who knows if we'll even actually ever get working 1.4.4 too =\
Now see I'm old school and I actually don't use auto pathing so much because it's a straight line there. But I do still use it for the location markers. :3
I just mainly want the files for me and my friends to play with, and to try things to make them more balanced in the game. Sin 100 Nirvana skill >.< Do not want. perma-5aps >.< do NOT want.
Oh, don't get me wrong. If we were to learn how to fully edit many things, including all the actual 'player skills' themselves -- I would be all about 1.4.4
Because then I could FIX what PW Beijing BROKE
I would do what they're apparently too lazy to do -- re-balance the game :)
Then yea, I would surely safely say I'd do a release... (that I'm sure not everyone would like it though -- because who doesn't like to be on the playing end of an OP character)
If it does ever become easily accessible I'll just wrap it up in a nice fancy .deb (been wanting to do that with current server files for a while but 343 made a release so easy to use it's pointless) and put it up on Launchpad as a ppk or something. So apt-get install pwserver keeps it up to date and all of that good stuff...
Ok this might seem like a stupid question 343, but where exactly do you edit the linked page for the patcher in mainuni.xml? I can find everything else just nothing that seems to pertain to the little link box.
Also, is there an easy way to fully customize the patcher's appearance, like editing things in the mainuni.xml or something?
Not quite too sure what you're talking about here, but no -- I've still never had or been able to 'replicate' your level-0 problem =\
I'm banging my head on my desk because I can't figure it out... or replicate it...

it's in there you cannot miss it...
full customization... sure, guess and check ;)
That's pretty much how I have learned everything (in and out of PW)...
Yah, I normally do guess and check as well, but I just thought I would ask. ;)

Ok, so another stupid question. You know how in the pwAdmin page under GM Control, it says Create object - Always.... Is this a function to create items? And how exactly does it work?
I will make a video from after linux install (from logging into root forward) maybe that will help?

it would be awesome if you did at least one to get people started if 1.4.4 leaks (I'd be much more inclined to add things when I can play the classes I want to play (read: Psychic. BALANCED) with the servers right now I'm just learning all I can about the original classes and their strengths and weaknesses, bbut I'm not adding anything, just playing with what is there.

Psytrac are you using the Linux version 343 posted, or a different one? Cos I had issues copying all the files with the right permissions, and the server wouldn't install properly. Thanks to Avalanche's suggestion, I used Winscp to copy the server files over with the right permissions.
