Why the game client has to weigh so much? You did not try to optimize elements and throw out all unnecessary, that is not used.
I suspect that a lot of textures just hangs in the pck-files and they are not involved, but take up much space. Hence the dramatic increase in file size.

Missing models. Open q20.ecwld with notepad++ (turn on simplified chinese encoding) and find the needed .ecm for that map inside the Legend of Martial Arts models.pck then add them into the PW models.pck

It contains additional 1 LOMA and 1 Jade Dynasty map, so 343 had to merge clients from those 2 games, because it's difficult to find out which files particular map needs (in my opinion it's not worth it, I would just update the client to 1.4.4 - because the client models are still 1.4.2...)

Previous release I think, too, was overstated by file size.
If you do the optimization, I think the size of the client is reduced by 1.5 times, if not more.

No the release does not yet contain the LoMA map -- I am putting that in as we speak...

I am not looking to make the smallest or most compact client here. This is intended as a BASE release (so yes, there are things that aren't "used") so that people can easily add them / customize whatever they want...

If you don't like it, you don't have to download it

Your releases some of the best, I like them and I'll download them. Job well done .
But not all high-speed Internet, and download a huge amount of very long (just this reason). If offended - sorry, just asked a little question

Now I think, what and where to remove excess (a very difficult task for me)...

I apologize if you took my response the wrong way... I have been working hard on q20 for several hours now and I'm almost cross-eyed LOL... I thought you were saying it's not good though because the client is too big, but must have just been a small mis-intepretation on my part -- sorry; glad you like the release

343 your release is awesome, and I feel you, as I got it working just about an hour ago. Again thanks for all the help getting me headed in the right direction. Now just need to figure out what I'm doing with it. The job never ends.

Yea hence the whole "base release" concept I have -- I will be leaving the instance itself empty (like I did with z9 and the t/b and e/g areas) so that each individual can customize it however they want...

However I will be adding an NPC that will bring you into it (that's what I'm working on right now)...

I do appreciate the 'tip'/help; but it would also be more efficient to read the client logs ;)

well according to my AF log I am missing this file (x3):

    Models\场景动画模型\蜘蛛蛋\蜘蛛蛋.ecm

    and this one (2x):

    Gfx\场景\石柱效果蓝.gfx

anyone have LoMA client, or know of a way I can just 'remove' these from .ecwld ???

Why can't you just use that and replace the PWServer folder or gamed folder with the latest ones?
that would be a great idea.. if I still HAD the old server ISO. I deleted it assuming this one would work

(yes, I just got on now. 6am Sunday morning)

@343: any chance you would humor me and upload a "working" VM I could test with? (as in one you created from your own files and is working properly)

I'm not sure about that, it would be a HUGE upload. I would almost humor you by just driving to your house, bearing in mind you do only live about an hour away from me

But in all seriousness I am working right now pretty extensively on adding q20 to this release... Sometime when I'm done with that though perhaps I could give you some assistance via T/V -- I'll PM you later whenever I'm 'free'...

that might freak out a few people living here :P and it souldn't be "huge" of it's compressed with 7z or rar, that's about as tiny as it gets (generally I use 12gb VMs)

and I dare ask, in hour in which way LMAO, I may actually be closer to you than you think sometimes :P

and TV is good too, just lemme know bro

Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤

Hi i have a slight problem...i fast forwarded the server time to 6:45 wednesday to test the TW function and all went well with bidding.
Then 4 of us decided to try out the BH in TT 3-3
The problem is when we start TT all the mobs disappear to the ceiling including bosses.
I was wondering what i could've done to cause this and if you or anyone else have encountered this problem?
Im thinking it may be something to do with me fast forwarding the server by that few days but im not sure...any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
BTW thank you very much for your new release...we are happily playing and keeping eyes peeled for your "easter eggs"

I know you said you were just going to download and install it, but here are those files.
    Parrts4Q20.rar

If only I knew how to spell "parts" properly, woops.

FYI the ERR's are wiggly spider eggs
