Alright so I figured out where the issue with the monsters not having the taming icons is, it's in hpother.dtf and hpotherb.dtf.... Naturally....

    Anyway, where it says: IMAGEPICTURE "Img_PetLevel" "" "" -2000 -2000 16 16 0 0 "" -- change the -2000 -2000 to 88 39 for hpother.dtf and 86 38 for the hpotherb.dtf.

This should fix the missing monster tamable icon.

    Enjoy! XD

P.S. For those who aren't used to editing the interfaces, the first value I said to change adjusts the object horizontally on the screen, a lower number being towards the left and a higher number being more to the right. And the second value being the adjustment for the vertical axis, a higher number being lower on the screen and a lower number being higher on the screen.

You might also consider removing the LABEL "Txt_HP" lines from the hpother.dtf(line 19) and hpotherb.dtf(line 22), to remove the stupid ?/? in the monster's hp HUD, I think a lot of people prefer to remove it anyway, unless you intend to fix it so that it shows hp properly at some point.

ahhhhhhhhhh, you're talking about the genesis interfaces

I just unpacked my normal interface and didn't see any problems in it...

Ok, I'll still fix it in genesis interfaces by the next 'update' :)

Im thinking it may be something to do with me fast forwarding the server by that few days but im not sure...any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
BTW thank you very much for your new release...we are happily playing and keeping eyes peeled for your "easter eggs"
No, 'fast forwarding' time would not cause mobs to fall through the floor or jump through the ceiling... Unlike players / player models (which DO pay attention to LITMODELS) mobs bosses and what not only pay attention to heightmaps -- so my guess would be it's a height map problem =\

Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤

Hi again, i thank you for looking at the TT mobs height problem as this has greatly put my mind at ease knowing i didnt stuff something up in all my experimentations.

I do have an incredibly noob question and i really have read all your tutorials (which are very informative) and i have read through all the threads in this massive forum which has helped immensely with understanding.
I am struggling with a couple of basic things in CPW and seek clarification before i noobily make destruction of my server,

STEP 1) FULLY UN-PACK CLIENT AND PLACE IN:

    /opt/cpw/files/new/
is this the new or old client going in here?

    STEP 2) RUN BASE BUILD:

    ./cpw initial

STEP 3) TO CREATE PATCHES - PLACE NEW FILES IN:

    /opt/cpw/files/new/
What new files? I thought i already placed them here previously?

Sorry but im confused because i thought by placing the new client files in /opt/cpw/files/new/ is updating the server side and client but now it says in step 3 to place new files which i assume i did in step 1...
I do understand i have to unpack all 14?(counted earlier quickly) of the .pck and place in correct directories in unpacked form but im confused from part 3 saying again to place new files to create patch.
Sorry about my noob questions..i think when i understand this part i will feel confident enough to update.
Eagerly awaiting your update and replies

Oo i just realised...b4 the rebuild new files go in to update server side..and after rebuild new files go in again to update client side?..is that right?

This is basically your current client.

    STEP 2) RUN BASE BUILD:

    ./cpw initial

STEP 3) TO CREATE PATCHES - PLACE NEW FILES IN:

    /opt/cpw/files/new/
What new files? I thought i already placed them here previously?
After creating the initial there are no files in the new folder
. When you want to add new things to your server, the client files that need to be added will then again go in the new folder and then a revision gets made.

They aren't really that noob, I had some of the same questions not that long ago.

Re: ¤ The Complete PW Package ¤

uhm well how CPW works is--you add your full unpacked client to /opt/cpw/files/new then you run the initial build

Well (you'll notice when you go in there to make an 'update') that -- once you run initial build the files are no longer there (in new) [it moves them where it needs them]

so now to create a patch you put any new or changed files in NEW (again just like for 'initial' build)[though you do NOT have to add the WHOLE client for every patch, it has those already stored where it needs them]

run the cpw revision/new to build a 'patch'

same thing, next time you go to update, you'll again notice NEW is empty again (because it took them and put them where it needs them)...

    rinse lather and repeat...

Wow thank you very much for your quick and helpful reply crxfreak.
I have 1 more question regarding the revision being made..when the revision has been processed it will automatically update my friends clients'?..i read the last part involving .cup files patch creation and assume this is an alternative way to update and is different from CPW (im sticking with CPW)
Again tyvm for you support :)

Yes, when your players connect it will say 'update available' automatically or just automatically update it for them (depending on their settings, and provided they are launching their client through the patcher [ofc] and not directly launching their client)...

Thank you for these little fixes :) I find it really tedious sometimes to work on two interfaces (and I do personally prefer the old one)
