Some helpfull information
Version Updates
Unlike console games, most Online Video Games are in constant flux, introducing new content in the form of version updates.
In February 2007, a significant change was made to the skill system. This new system was not well received by the public. Also in that update, Ivilis Temple was implemented for levels 40~75. In September 2007 the Pet System was added. The user interface was redesigned and the upgrade system was tweaked. The last big change of 2007 was in December, focusing on the end game and players who had reached level 120. The Hero and Master classes were released and Volkane Dungeon for levels 110-plus.
In February 2008 The Awakening was introduced and the Collector System was added.[6] Gone since February 2007, the PvP arena was re-added. Also introduced was the premium area Azria, with monsters level 73-115. A large update in October 2008 added the Lord system, a dungeon called The Forsaken Tower with its Secret Rooms, and Rangda the roaming giant.[7]
Eight months later, in June 2009, Take back the Skies was released. The Rainbow Race, where players must race from place to place to complete seven mini-games in random order, was one of the main attributes of this update. This chapter also brought the user a premium area called Coral Island. Towards the end of that year, in November, version 14 was released. This update brought with it new territories to the north. New quests for the mid level rang and for the high levels also. All new instance dungeons, safe upgrading options and transportation devices "full size Wings" were also introduced. [10]

Just play runeflyff and you'll pretty much see what's in v5.
The only things really added from v5 to v6 is the Guardian, Historic, Angel, Legendary weapons, that's what makes it such a big version :P

After some research, i'm happy to say that i've found the v6 servers! Meaning that if we can restore the database, we can have a working v6 official server! This will be awesome for the runesource!

Sorry, nothing to do with the login server, my bad.
Your better option by the way, is to rewrite the rune source, as it's so messy, you cant understand what does what correctly, and certain things are really screwed up. And should be programmed differently. Personally i'm using Kiki's source for my v6 source. But not using it as a base, just using it as a guide as I get a bit lost when it comes to socket programming.

They're actually not that bad, I use the later v5 ones, so there's less bugs. Obviously they're vulnerable to hacks more so than recent servers but still, as far as they're supposed to work, they work for me perfectly.
As for the neuz, make your own, if you find one chances are it won't work correctly.

And even if you choose to host with these files, you can just simple code a proxy that will be between client and cache server and it will read all packets and collect information, easily you can create a big antihack doing that. Packet filter, detecting teleport too long from your current position... etc.
