I would like to know how to add items from this fabulous editor. I like to add to the most item slots and as I make is +1 +2 +3 +4 +5 ... one of my preference ....
I have not forgotten abou tthis so don't worry ;)
I will need to see the error. Do you use windows authentication (i.e. don't enter user/pass) when connecting to mssql via enterprise manager/management studio or do you use a login?
Just create the itemopt using the various guides or john_d's cabaltoolz and put the itemopt in the itemopt box. There is no funky itemopt creator yet so you will have to create them manually for now.
the error was that the server would not responf and to check ip and blablabla
If you use mssql2005 go into Control Panel->Admin Tools->Services and check the name of the MSSQL service. If it has a \MSSQLEXPRESS (or any slashes) in it then you installed as a "named instance" and that will cause you problems. It would be best to reinstall using the guide in my sig.
any idea how to create items by hand? query? or what?
I have this problem with the premium ..

thx, i finally connected to the server with the gm tools but how do i add users or characters to my database
but i try to add some logins using the tools but it gives me an error that says "duplicate rows. Player already exists?"
i tried to create an account the manual way but i get this error:
Msg 515, Level 16, State 2, Procedure cabal_tool_registerAccount, Line 10
Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Password', table 'Account.dbo.cabal_auth_table'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.
The statement has been terminated.
Msg 515, Level 16, State 2, Procedure cabal_tool_registerAccount, Line 16
Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'UserNum', table 'Account.dbo.cabal_charge_auth'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.
The statement has been terminated.
im pretty sure i got everything right.............
im getting the same thing
It has to be done by hand. There are several guides around for creating itemopts and i would suggest looking at Clust3r's post about inventory decoding too.
I don't know how to fix the datetime problem yet, it is something serverside and i will need somebody to use the profiler so i can figure out what the problem is.
This means your xp_md5 support is broken. Check the properties of it under the Extended Procedures folder of your "master" db and make sure the path to the dlll is correct and that the dll has permissions settings allowing it to be accessed.
Uhmm... I keep getting the MSSQL server did not respond error, and I type the info in that the owner gave me, is it possible that I need MSSQL myself, or anything else..? :s I need a bit help here.. Sorry if I revived a dead thread.
@ WeedSter
Well it is strange. It worked when we were goin hamachi, but now, it only works for the owner. Offcourse its good that it only does so, for security's sake, but still.. Its strange.
It is because there is a firewall or router in the way of the connection. Port 1433 needs top be open and forwarded to the ip that is hosting the db.
Well, fact is.. It's Jeff's server, and I believe he already did that.. :s
He won't open port 1433 because he knows it is a security risk to do so. If you still have hamachi running on your pc and the server you can still use the hamachi ip. Only trusted people can get onto the hamachi network so it acts like an extra layer of security on your mssql port.
Well, he got CentOS on hamachi, and I tried to use its hamachi IP.. Still didn't work.
stop using hamachi is not very good to launch a server using hamachi..
It keeps saying that the account already exists :S
That was a bug i never got the the bottom of. The actual error mssql returns to the tools is "duplicate row exists" which isn't correct but doesn't give me much to work with.
I have effectively abandoned development of my gm tools and i would suggest using CrazyArcad's gm tools instead if you encounter problems with mine. Check the releases section for a copy.

I use the "sa" account to login to my database, and also the password is correct, as wl as the Lan IP which is 192.168.1.5 where the SQL Server is running, and i also tried the 127.0.0.1.. The port is ok, i've checked it many times already (SSCM > Protocols for MSSQLSERVER > TCP/IP > TCP PORT). But I still got the error.. Need help please.. :-(
MS SQL Server 2005 Express (Set to Default instead of instance name during the installation of SQL Server)
XP SP2
running a 32bit machine
---- 12/01/2009 21:47:45
SQL error 80040E21
Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.
DB address: 127.0.0.1 (1433, false)
DB user: cabal
keep getting this error when i click on add next to username password box ect ect >.>
please , Take a simple information
That error usually means that the data the tools are trying to insert into the sql table is larger than the field allows, like the name being too long. I don't recommend using the "cabal" user for the tools as there could be permissions problems, use your "sa" login to make sure you have all the acccess you need to the db.
Ah i have problem with this gm tools. When i trie to start this application it says
. I'm using windows xp sp3 and i have tried everything that is writen in this thread. Do you have any ideas how my problem can be fixed ?Quote:
