Ace assert errors usually mean one or more files are in dos format not unix. The ones included here should be fine as many people have used them. Try running the dos2unix command on the files you have to be sure none of them are int he wrong format.
yes execept im using crimson and im sure its unix cuz every time it save files i set it to auto save to unix also with mobs.scp works fine
Check the format under the document menu. Sometimes it looks like it has been saved in unix and when you reload the file it's actually still in dos format.
For those having problems with connection issues here, just do this to be on the safe side and don't forget to backup your server files i.e your drop rate, exp rate so on and so on:
1) Copy over the Common30.ini and other files within your 'data' folder to your server.
From PuTTy or whatever:
2) type: 'chmod 0777 /root/cabal_install.sh'
3) type '/root/cabal_install.sh'
and then re-copy the common30.ini over again to cabal folder.

i did everything the guide said to do but for some reason when i use the common30.ini file the channel doesn't start if anyone knows how to fix this problem can you help me
Yoh pIpOL.. I'm using this Hardcore Channel by Mr.Chump and it's awesome.. To me, I set this Hardcore Channel will also use a modded worldX-30-terrain... So I can make a diffrent drops from normal channels ^^ U can try guys...
I did a test and the common30.ini doesnt work i tried using it on my working channals but it doesn't work
It works for me and everyone else so you must be doing something wrong. Common30.ini won't work on it's own you need the other edited files to go with it.
What is the error that shows up in the logs?
i put everything in there respected places do i need to edit anything else?

the guide ended but the hard core channel still not working
the files that i got i put them in the same folders they were in from the guide if someone wants to explain to me what i did wrong add me to msn plz i really want to get this finished and also i want to know how to change the mob levels for normal channels

I will let you off that double post as you did wait a week and it needed bringing to my attention. Congrats on probably the only double post i have every though was justified ;)
If you copied all the files right and also chmod them to 0777 (use winscp to set permissions by right-click and properties) the only thing you could have got wrong is changing the common.ini in the worldsvr ini to the hardcore one.
I don't do MSN but i'm almost always on RZ IRC (only there sensible hours in GMT). If you use Firefox install the Chatzilla extension and paste irc://irc.ragezone.com/cabal into your address bar.
i changed ch mod to 0777 but the channel i modded to be hardcore doesn't stay up
and when it does stay up the mobs are still the same no difference is there something else i need to change to make the mobs harder

Here is your problem...
It means one of your files (an mmap in the data_world dir i think) has an index value over 999. Check each of the files and look at the first column. Any lines higher than 999 delete them.Quote:

1 more thing how do i change the mob levels in the mobs.scp and the spawns to different locations i know what I'm asking maybe really easy for most people but it take me along time to understand stuff so if there is a guide or something on how to do that i would be happy if you could let me have it and again thanks for the help
The coordinates are in the mmap files in data_world and the column titles will tell you what each column does. Load the file into crimson editor and use View->Tab size to increase the tabs until everything lines up to make it easier to see what is what.
Mob levels are changed in the same way in mobs.scp, just increase the numbers to make them tougher.
question i made all the mobs level 200 and the channel doesn't start I'm guessing that's a problem.my question is whats the max level can i make a mob with out this happening? I'm thinking only to change the level of the mob I'm going to use for each map would that solve this problem?
i make 2 channels.. 1 channel for PK channel and other channel is Hardcore! how could i do that? when i follow the guide.. all channels are hardcore..

It would be much better if you would simply divide the SpawnInterval by 2 for the map mobs, instead of adding more of them.
