    Lightsabers

    Oh no they didn't?

    Yup they did. Had this ready for a while just didn't have the time to make a bit of a guide about it. It's basically some blue weapony things that should look like lightsabers. Well I'm not really a fan of em. Anyway doesn't mean you guys aren't.

    As always the download contains the needed files for visuals and other stuffs.

    Jedi vs Sith battles???

    Unless you recolor the textures and add them again as red versions then no. But here's how you add the blue ones as weapon costume items :)

    So we've been through this before guys this should be a walk in the park with the data.enc being a possible pile of poo on the walkway.

    Unpack, 010 editor, template. Then go to the end and add this and rerun the template. Just a tip, select this part of code and then in 010 editor do "Paste From -> Hex Text"

    Unpack, 010, template. Perform a search for 'avatar' and at the end of the type="4" block add this line.

    data.enc (Data\cabal_msg.enc)
    I've added the latest Korean data.enc in the download so you can try with that. It's called data_lightsaber.enc and you'll find it in your data directory after you unpack everything. Just did that to make sure it doesn't overwrite your files.

    If it works, party time, if it doesn't you can open up your own data.enc after unpacking and run the correct template. Go to the EFX ID's 2224, 2225, 2226 and 2227. Change them so they point to the EFX's in the data\FX\EFX\Item\pItem\ folder being:
    2226 bow_lightsaber_keep.efx
    2224 bow_lightsaber_on.efx
    2227 shield_lightsaber_keep.efx
    2225 shield_lightsaber_on.efx

    Don't forget to edit the data size correctly in the beginning of the file.


    Cabal_msg.enc (Data\cabal_msg.enc)
    Unpack, open, and this time i'll just let you guys make up the names and descriptions of the items. The Korean wasn't really that good.


    What's next?

    Waving around with your lightsaber?? Well the download also includes the staff but due to the workings of our current client/server it can't be added as a costume like it should so you can always add them as working weapons if you want to so go and experiment. :)


    Notes

    I've been very busy in college lately and haven't had time for much else these days but I wanted to put these files out here so if there are people having problems with the data.enc then I'll make a little detailed update about it here but promise me you'll try it on your own first if the korean file doesn't work for you.

    And after all this, I think the shield and bow aren't that bad :D

    haha ! Speedy! you released them before me :P ! i didnt release them because i know you wanted that :P was waiting for you ! but when i saw u never came online XD i was going to do that :p but u did ! so Nice Job Brotha ;) really perfect :D!

    jozef@ you need to edit the Man/Woman Ech's :) ! U will have to use Templates from Yamachi ;)! its hard to explain :P

    well i get what u mean LocaSimon but problem is that I tried with no success :D Could u just write me down in points what is needed to do? I tried open efx file in 010editor with templates added, but later i stuck at making dds file. F.E max 5.ech i got at right some .? etc until cap_a9.dds€...DDS| and I select from DDS| to end of that, than choose save as dds, and when I try open in PS with added plugin to read dds files i got something like this


    and what to do with it now? :(((((

    yes this si the 1 Peace of the Shadowtitanuim set... you can change the colour of it ... press on Image then choose Due/Somethign i forgot name and play with colours u will see that it will change ..it will take u alot of time to make all of these parts... took me 3 hours xD anyway... after that u need to make it back to the ech and save it :)

    ok lets say I colored it now how save it? nameofifle.dds or nameoffile.ech.dds? and how back to ech file?

    no save in .dds then open in Editor010 copy the file agian inside the palce in the ech you took it from.. and thats all save the ech .. and done ! i dont know if u undersatnd and i really cant explain to you anymore so have fun :\ i hope you wilh have a good luck

    All is ok but I can't summon sheild and bow
    I edit 2224 -> error :

    Say you want to add a link in the data.enc and as example I'll add one in ID 1337. It's empty and only has 3 bytes being

    The first 2, 01 00, tell the game the amount of characters that follow before the next ID starts so since it's now 01 00 = 1 there's only 00 behind it.
    I want to insert "Special\epic.efx" that is 16 characters long but atm 1337 only has room for 1, which is just a "00" in hex and every ID needs to end with that. So you set your cursor in front of that last 00 and then you go to the text side and make sure you're set to insert text and not write over the next characters.

    Insert your link to the efx and then change the id_lenght, in my case it has to be 1+16(the 16 I just added). After that scroll up to the top of the template result and you'll see Chunk_Size. Add the same number to that which was 16 for me.

    Refresh the template and if you've done it correctly no errors should pop up.

    Hey Speed when I try to paste that code into item.dec it pastes in the wrong section and i tried the pasting from thing and it didn't work. I don't know what to do now.
