If you remove the DreamSickleSettings.ini when you're already in the program, and you press something like register, it will tell you its missing, and shut down the program.

    DreamSickle Launcher v1.0
.NET Cleanup Tool (For my .NEt Setup Guide)NOTE: If you already have .NET Framework 3.5 WORKING, you dont need to follow my guide.

###.NET Framework Setup Guide, for you guys who have trouble with it!###
Okay, I have had LOADS of problems with the .NET Framework, and I found a solution for it.
First, you need to uninstall .NET Framework (All versions). If you can remove it via Add/Remove programs, lucky for you. If it giuve you a creepy error when you're trying to uninstall it, use the .NET Cleanup Tool (Thanks to Aaron Stebner for this usefull tool, and thanks to me for mirroring it. Its kinda hard to find ya know :P)
Extract it somewhere, (I dont remember is it saves logs..) Run it, and press yes. Then select .NET Framework - All Versions, and clean up. It should clean it up. when you're done, download the .NET Framework 2.0 from the link in the Download's, and install it.
When its done, reboot your PC, (It would be a good idea if you did that.) and go to Microsoft Update. (Google it...) If you're too lazy to search for Microsoft Update, then press Here, I will search t for you. Remember what I do now! That should be it. (Since Microsoft are so selfish nO__Obs, they wont let us go to Microsoft Update with Firefox..
It will download all the updates, service packs, AAAAALL the way up to .NET Framework 3.5. Wasnt that cool? :D

    ###What will be in DreamSickle v2.0 Launcher:###
    Update Function
    Another layout
Another way to open the links. Just need to make one :P
    Skin Selector
Maybe more, I dont know yet.
Anti-Cheat. Might be able to make something that terminates Cheat Engine.

    ###Credits###

Jeffijoe / Mr. Anybody - Main Coder, Designer.
Nanoman - Some codes, and thanks to his source. I learned alot from it.
Chumpywumpy - Being so supportive, and he gave me alot of exambles :D

    ###Screenies###

I know the design sux, but Im not pro in design. Send me a background, and I might consider using it in my v2.0 :D

Since its a pretty good launcher and your first I'l give you 10/10 ... but I got some suggestions for you maybe future updates ;-) ...

    1. Auto Update function ( but I see its already in the list :P )
    2. Less buttons * They are just too many and useless.
    3. Maybe more secure * MD5 check for example and many more
    4. A better design
    5. Create a way to configure the launcher from the server directly (Links, buttons etc)
    6. Find a way to don't use any "config.ini" (Anyway, this will not be possible if you want to release the launcher because you will have to set the server IP somewhere ;-) )
    7. Encrypt the ini file

MD5 Check, I will look at it.
A Better Design, I know. Give me a cool background and some buttons, and I will consider using it in my next version :P
I know the config.ini's suck, but there wont be any other way, that people will be able to edit the values, links, buttons, and so on, and thats the problem.
Encrypt the .ini, If I did that, it would be VERY STUPID, because then, ppl cant edit it, and it would be NO use at all :P

But thanks for the suggestions :D

I will make some more flashy design next time, with a cool flashy text that says Cabal, which I will make myself, offcourse. It is always important to know designing, when you

Well If you really want an example I will give you a screen from our launcher (At the end) but I don't want to copy it ... its just to inspire from it ;-) ... and I really suggest you .png images format but I see "VisualEvolution" was faster then me

Some of our launcher featrues that you can use in your launcher are :

    1. Auto Update
    2. MD5 check for Updater.exe / CabalMain.exe (If they are not right or they don't exist it will auto redownload the files and not give any errors at all)
    3. 2x Webs for notices
    4. Change all the buttons and webpages links from the server side (Don't have to update the launcher just to change the links etc)
    5. Anti cheat (With auto ban function when cheat detected)
    6. Don't use any ini file
    7. Use .net framework 2.0 NOT 3.5
    8. Error handler

And much more ... but I guess its useless to write them all

About the buttons I guess It's better to leave just the really needed 1 like Website / Register / Start and Exit ... The others are just useless because you can see all that staff on the site too.

If you want to release a ini file with encryption is very easy ... you can do another application that will be released with your launcher where the users will enter all the settings wanted and the application will generate an encrypted INI file that can be used with your launcher ... this is just an idea anyway.

If you want more suggestions or you need any help with codeing please send me a PM with your MSN and I'l be happy to help you.
~ but please don't ask for the S.Code

Dang that launcher of yours is awesome! Dont worry. I wont ask for the source code. I only use them for learning purposes. Without Nano's source, I would have been lost :P

I sendt you a PM with my MSN. You could also just have looked at my contact page

Bump! I started making v2.0. mmoobb is helping me. Dude, you gotta get back on MSN again :P

Please wait longer before bumping. The forum rule is 2 weeks before a bump is allowed but personally i would accept a bump if the topic has gone off the first page and the problem is not solved or there is a new announcement.

    Re: [Release] DreamSickle Launcher v1.0

Well my rules are if it's off the 1st page and it's a support request then then a bump is ok but not before (i might still be testing). If it is a release topic and you have an announcement it is ok.

If you double post and i have to merge them then you made work for me :/

Now get back to your code before i infract you mate :P

Lol, the moment you get on MSN, ima slap you one pal, count on that :D

IM CODING, IM CODING, plz, dont eat me! xD

Ontopic: I wont continue, before the update system is on its place. I could just steal nano's source (And he has nothing against that) but I wont be able to call it my own. I look at the codes, but I dont leak it completely. ^^
