I think my client is not compatible with the server (I'm using Vietnamese Cabal client). So it meant I have to download Cabal US client to fix it.

I tried a lot of time to download Cabal US from : http://www.gamershell.com/download_23004.shtml but it always broken while downloading progress reached ~3x/4x%.

Now, I'll try again.

There is definitely a router involved in your connection even if it isn't at your end. Notice your local area connection has a 192.x address and this is a LAN address. That shot shows your subnet mask, gateway and DNS server ("nameserver" in centos).

You should be using a "bridged" connection in vmware and i would probably leave centos networking on auto (DHCP) to begin with. Later on when everythign is working i would use the setup wizard (type "setup" on centos) and manually set it's IP so it always stays the same. The other details you need for that wizard are the ones in the screenshot and pick an IP of something like 192.168.104.50 for centos so there are plenty of spare addresses for other mahcines on the network (if there are any).

Ah it was that. I was expecting "unable to connect to sql" errors in the logs or i would have spotted that sooner.

The map files can be found in my sig or in the client patch in /root/clientfiles on centos. You can use other clients but if you don't use our enc files (which are in English unfortunately) you will get lots of d/c errors as the enc file data won't match the server. I do plan on adding translations of the client soon but it will take some time as a LOT of data has to be matched up perfectly or bugs start appearing.

The client is far too big to fit on mediafire (100mb file limit) but as far as i know gamershell should support download resuming. People hate rapidshare so we can't use that and if i put a copy on any of my mirrors it will get used a lot and drain bandwidth very quickly. I was hosting a torrent for a while but the trackers have gone. I may up another torrent but i would have to seed from scratch so hopefully others will help seed it.

I patched my client by using your map in /root/clientfiles but in that folder not all maps included.

I used your ENC files too, and everything is ok now except one problem, I can't use GPS warp. When I used, I got DC

To keep the patch as small as possible i only include files that need to be changed from the US client which will explain the map problem. There is a full set in my signature.

The warp problem doesn't happen for me but it could be client related as each regional one is different and i only test with the US. A d/c is usually client data not matching the server but the patch has all of that data.

Can you give some example warps i can test or is it all of them?

I got DC for any kind of warps, ex BI, DS, GD, LS,... click and ... DC. Here is screenshot of DC message.

This might be......a premium type failing or warp fail....
I never seen this error before,try change another tpye of premium....but i can't be certain,wait for chump maybe he can help more

I tried on Premium Type = 1, I got DC
I tried on Premium Type = 0 with Blessing Bead Plus, I got DC

I tried with Warp Code = 511, Got DC
I tried with Warp Code = 1023, Got DC
Even a new char, played-by-hand and got-Warp-Code-by-hand and ... Got DC

None hacking tool was used...

Now, I'm using client in /root/clientfiles from TDP 2.81 of chump. I'll download patch of LostSpirit and test.

I also have a problem i cant connect to the server.

If i enter my ID & PWD it automaticly says youve been disconnected from the server. That messages is gone in 0,5 sec.

Im running CentOS 4.8 on server 1 and on server 2 im running XP 32 Bits ( MS-SQL )

When i run service cabal status

Everything is running except WorldSvr_24_01 ( is stopped )

Ive added my serverlog's

Those definitely aren't my files unless you edited an awful lot by hand!

If you look in your worldsvr logs it halts because it couldn't read data from a file. That is a pretty critical looking one which means one or more files are in DOS format not unix which the server doesn't like. Run dos2unix on all of the .scp and .ini files in /etc/cabal/

Your globalmgrsvr log doesn't list any channel configurations which it should and there is a pcbang message in there i don't recognise too.

Also what client are you using? The login server doesn't understand your client by the look of the packet errors in there.

The files are from u chumpy im using the 2.5 pack.

I just copied the files in the main root. Maybe thats the thing i did wrong. Because there is a directory ROOT in the file system. I just coppied them in every single map /etc /var etc etc.

And about the client im just using the OGplanet client downloaded from the forum.

Would u suggest me to reinstall CentOS and put the server files in the directory ROOT ?

And i did not edit anything in the files.

That is what has caused it, you don't install like that which explains the missing channel configs. After copying the server files to the /root/ folder you should "chmod 0777 /root/cabal_install.sh" and then run it. It will install the server files into the correct places. After that is done type "cabal_config" and follow the wizard to create the server configuration.

Reinstalling centos shouldn't be needed if you follow that process above.

first i have to say that im not the admin of the server

but i want to post the problem here cuz admin has no time idk what he make and i want to run the server stable

the problem is that if 9-10 player are online nobody can connect to the server

in the logs are non error (admin said)

the NAT is configured right(admin said) its NAT cuz the dedicated server doesn`t allow brigded network

what can he make to fix this problem

i hope u can help me

Edit: one little info how it looks like if i type my ID and PW and press enter the loadingbar shows up and after middle it redirects me to 0 the DC window shows 1 sec and goes away

This sounds like the server is running on a home edition of windows. Home editions of windows have a very small connection limit and once that limit is reached no new connections will be accepted. If this is happening you will get event id 4226 in your event logs.

If you google the problem you can find a patcher which can increase the connection limit.

There is no problem shown there. If you read the first post it says we need a full set of logs not just bits as just odd bits do not give us a full picture of what is happening on the server.

I can't see any "database connect success!" messages so the server probably cannot connect to sql. That is all i can tell from that.
