Chumpy's Server RepackV2 Video Guide

After agreement with Chumpy. We decided to release this video guide.

This video guide will serve as a helping hand or a reference, cause it follows the same way as written in chumpy's guide.

The video is in avi format and uploaded to mediafire for easily downloading

A server guide with written and visual material is the best for beginners. If any of the beginner still can't get their server up. Then I really don't know what to say.

The video is separated into 3 part:-

1. MSSQL2005 installation and database restoration

MSSQL2005pt1
MSSQL2005pt2

PS: Use HJsplit to join the 2 files and extact it to get the video file.

2. Vmware Server1.0.7 & CentOS4.7 installation and setup

VmWareCentOs

PS: Suggest to use CentOS4.6 or CentOS4.7, if you are using chumpy's repack.
Using other version of Centos might give you some "unexpected error".

3. Chumpy's server repackV2 installation and setup

Cabal

I will update the video guide if any new thing changes.

All credits still goes to Chumpy's. I just doing a helping hand and trying to help out.

ya its video guide.. but everything is video guide? wtf? lol yeah when i click on em the video thing comes out and it seems kinda like playing a song nothing on screen only the movement thing and some sound didnt really care bout it lol

It's means that you dont have the correct video codec to run the video guide files.

Try upgrade your Windows Media Player codec file or download and install K-Lite Codec Pack of Media Player
Classic to run the files.

Patch synching requires a lot of knwoledge about how the client and server works. You will need the decrypted enc files posted by saur0n and acidstar's example and both are in the FAQ sticky in the main section (under the d/c bit).

Please use the edit button rather than double posting. Your problem is going to be down to networking. You might have added wrong settings in centos or picked the wrong network type (nat/bridged) in vmware so you need to examine your settings again.

If you have a router it should be bridged and if you don't then it should be nat.

If it is timing out then your network settings are wrong. Post a support topic showing the results if "ipconfig /all" in a windows command prompt and "ifconfig" in centos terminal and it should hopefully give some clues.
