How to create a EP8 Cabal server Step by Step with Pictures

hey everyone,

i got a strange issue....

i´ve copied all the repack files on my centos server (its normal centos server not a virtual one) and tried to enter the command

./install_cabal.sh

next what i got is that....

-bash: ./cabal_instal▒l.sh: No such file or directory


when i enter /install_cabal.sh (without . in front) comes that...
-bash: /cabal_install.sh: Permission denied



whats wrong or what can i do... pls help me

u need to set permision 1st..

Example: chmod 0700 ./cabal_install.sh

then u can run

./cabal_install.sh to start install

its centos 6, is that maybe a problem?

cant say.. i just moved to cabal today and now reached the qlimax - server runs, all is smooth.. .but can i get online !! ;D

i know its workin also on centos 6 but i dont know how... i just heard from a guy who is running his server on centos 6 but he wont tell me how he made it....

well, i had that problem too, you need to edit hosts file otherwise you wont be able to connect to xtrap server and update it
btw do you wanna my hosts. and replace with your's ?

Sascha Sitti, just donwload and install CentOS 5.8, its easyer cuz CentOS 5.8 is recommended for EP8 server

its not a server on virtualbox its a full root server with centos 6

and yes i would like ur files if they work on centos 6

Well i have to figure out the missing channels or if it does appear, it wont connect issue... but im too tired now.

Isnt there any client side logs?

IDk... you clearly dont know how to use google to learn how to install anything on VM.

Took me 4 hours to get it all up and running with problems (not including download time). And iv never run a server on linux or had anything to do with Aion.

Server working . Database working . Everyone probably have client errors only :S Really awful :S
