Chumpy or anyone :)
When you have a chance, could you please look at these log files?? I've been racking my brain up trying to get the Cabal server to connect to the database and it seems like it's not working. I am able to ping CentOs from Windows and Windows from CentOS. I redo the database 3 times already and it's still not working. Followed your instruction, I created a user (cabal) and make it the DBO of ACCOUNT, cabal_managerdb, CabalCash, Cabal_stat, Event, and Gamedb. When I linked the server, I put my database IP instead of "localhost". The weird thing is, when I use your GM tool and log in as "cabal" I cannot create new user becasue it kept saying, "Duplicate row. Player already exits?" when I know for sure that player has not been created. However, when I log in as "sa" with your GM tool, I am able to create user..it's odd because I did not set anything for the user "sa".
Also, I did put in the file "libtdsodbc.so.0" as DarkCycle suggested in the \root\ep2\usr\lib folder and I still see the error that says it cannot open it in the DBAgent_24 log file. I even double check to make sure FreeTDS is installed by running "Yum install Freetds" under root after I ran the chmod 0777 ./cabal_install.sh --->./cabal_install.sh. When I clicked on the "Database Diagram" of all the database (with the exception of Gamedb), I kept getting this message
"Database diagram support objects cannot be installed because this database does not have a valid owner. To continue, first use the Files page of the Database Properties dialog box or the ALTER AUTHORIZATION statement to set the database owner to a valid login, then add the database diagram support objects."
Is this the reason why I can't connect to the databse?
At first, I try to rectify it by right click on the Databse, go to properties, and click on the Files, then I choose the owner of the database and put in "sa", and hit Ok. After that, the diagram message disappear and I was able to install the diagram support.
Unfortunately, this didn't really solved anything. When I ran the /hom/cabal/cabal_install.config, I tried both my databse IP (192.168.1.146 and 127.0.0.1) and used both "cabal" login and "sa" login...and it still didn't work.
Other than running the chmod 0777 ./cabal_install.sh ---> then ./cabal_install.sh, and /home/cabal/cabal_config.sh, I did not alter anything else in the Ep2 folder. I've attached some of the log file from the CentOS server, please review them when you have some time. I am about ready to quit, but I REALLY REALLY HATE QUITTING...so please, I really need your help
