My files are set up for centos 4.6 or later and it sounds like you are using centos 5 which has a lot of stuff missing by default. My install script specifically asks you if you are using the centos version it expects and if you say no it will use the centos 5 install method so i'm guessing you answered wrong when running cabal_install.sh.Originally Posted by FAKIR

googled it => downloaded a rmp install file => opened it on my CentOS => couldn`t install those because i`m missing some other files that needs to be installed before this pack .

The server was designed for centos 4 but you can use the later version. I tend to recommend it because centos 5 has much more missing on a default install and for centos 4 you only need CD 1 and CD 2 so the download is smaller as well as easier to set up the cabal files on. In fact you can use the most minimal install of centos 4 (without xwindows or any GUI) and the only extra thing you need to install is qt 3.3. It is just simpler which is a real benefit because many people here have no idea about linux dependencies or how to fix them.

Language like that is completely inappropriate and i don't appreciate being flamed either. You should have noticed that plenty of other people could tell it was a 7-zip archive and got it working and i would have explained it to you if you had asked instead of running your mouth and calling me names, not a smart thing to do to a mod. Enjoy your infraction.
You can use the PH client but you might find you run into some d/c problems as some of the client data won't match the server. I'm not familiar enough with the PH client to know what is different though. The best thing to do is try it and see where problems show up and then post them and we can tell you what to edit.

You will need to use my cabal install guide if you are using my files as mine are very different from the others in the way you install and configure.
First you copy the files to centos and then run /root/cabal_install.sh (after using chmod to set permissions on it to 0777) which installs the server files.
Next you run /home/cabal/cabal_config.sh which will ask you a few questions (mmsql server details etc) and then create your ini files for you. You can then play around with your ini files (in /etc/cabal/ NOT /root/ !!!) all you like and if you break something just run cabal_config.sh again to create new inis.
