This is for people behind routers
1. In VMware goto Edit > Virtual Network Editor
2. Goto Host Virtual Network Mapping
3. Change VMnet# (one that is not used) to the network card your pc is using the internet
3a. Open Centos Setting in VMware --->> Ethernet -->>> Custom -->> VMnet# (Number where you are putted your PC Card)
4. open cmd and type ipconfig/all and get info for DNS, Gateway, and the lan IP of your pc
5. In CentOS, type system-config-network and select Ethernet
6. Enter the IP you wish to use for your lan (must be not in use) and enter your gateway, save and exit
7. Now type vi /etc/resolv.conf
8. edit/add so that it only has your DNS in the file, example:
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (put again if you have a second DNS
9. save and test to see if you can talk to the world, type ping

To view the content, you need to sign in or register

if success then move on
10. Open your browser and open your router settings (all routers are diff) (normaly you router will be your gateway IP)
11. Open neccecary ports to allow packet flow from clent to server (Open 38000-39000)

yes i puted my first DNS is 86.107.xxx.2 and the sec DNS is 192.168.0.1 i save it and when i try to ping google st give me that

already port forward 30k-40k
but try my client ~ still cant connect

i think sometthing on ur pc don`t allow ur connection,have u disabled the firewall? remember u need to port forwarding 30000-40000 ON THE IP OF CENTOS THATS ALL,and one more thing U NEED TO PORT FORWARDING ur ip of windows port 1433:like server(centos) to can connect on ur database,if u have Mercury-serverIDX 1,type this in putty and see if is connect with database:
cd/var/log/cabal
ls
cat DBAgent_01

And if say "Database connect succes it should work

If u have another serveridx doesn`t matter only at DBagent_01 (01 will be replaced with you serveridx,thats in case u u use another serveridx)

Hello, I have this as a problem, Rauter I do not have, to me, is the external IP address. And I can not configure that way from your normal PC'd log onto your PC, as well as the virtual pc is not online.

And did everything as well as seduced IP addresses, DNS addresses, URLs Getaway. and you still do not go.

No not my internet provider record as far as a computer system, according to MAC addresses. and it does not comply with their famous mac address prevents connections (which also prevents connections it already is binded address)

If you are directly connected to the Internet you can make your server only LAN
