    Word of warning...

    Hey all!

    Just a quick notice.
Not sure if everyone knows or not, but, to run your cabal server properly with no bugs.
You need to run VMWARE and MS SQL Server 2000 from a Windows 2000 operating system.

This I found to be most error free ( minus the d/c errors )!!

Im now running mine on a Win2000 laptop 512Mb, Intergrated Radeon 7000 mobile and intel mobile 1.6Ghz.
    Using 284Mb for VMWARE os!
Of course, running client files from my Windows XP machine lol! That otherwise would be stupid!

    Chow!

I found otherwise I would get errors from VMWARE and random server crashes..

You need to run the server on pure Centos without using vmware at all.
    FIxed that for you

Exactly what Miss Chumpy said. If you run VMWare + CentOS + SQL on the same computer, expect instability and lag. The CABAL server was built to run each individual part on a seperate machine (ie. WorldSvr on machine 1, LoginSvr on machine 2, etc.). This is called "clustering", just incase you wondered.

Erm, I gatherd that! I know they are supposed to be on separate machines, but as I havnt got 3 seperate machines to run CentOS and SQL Server and Client machine, I will use just the one machine!
But works well though. Im not going to be hosting outside of my network so there is no need to have a BIG server which will accomodate like 3 servers and 16 channels on each lol!

    But thanks for the advice!
