that's the main problem,
there's some extra byte you need to delete it,
and that's not easy, sometimes it have extra byte, sometimes, it change 1 of the byte,
i can't help you more than it,
well, actually for me, i'am compare kaswynn datatable and cora21 patch datatable,
for looking that byte...

check first page you can read FAQ open your php.ini in C:\windows\php.ini, open it using notepad, look for ;extension=php_mssql.dll ;extension=php_msql.dll ;extension=php_mysql.dll and delete sympbol ; save, and exit

the bin.rar has a Trojan.. can you fix and/or reupload it?

i can't understand what is your problem,
btw, if you already have wampp, you doesn't need to instal web file from post 1,
all you have done is correct, except in replace db, id on't think is needed, and no need to instal that web file if you already have wampp installed
then you just need a google to download server managemet....
if you already have SQL installed, you can use this tool to create database and restore your database for faster and easy way :

i used that file to create and restore database, only need 5 second :D:
that tool only usable if you can use sqlcmd command from your command prompt

just change all IP to 127.0.0.1
no need cable plugin, and no need internet connection...
if you still get that error, use kaswynn database for rfworld, i already explain it in FAQ...

hmm in odbc I use 127.0.0.1,61433
in INI setting use 127.0.0.1

in sql configuration I use IP 127.0.0.1
dinamik port 61433
and statik port use 1433

and it's work fine

Sometimes this happens when you forgot to edit the name of your server, or forgot to correct 'em

@likerturban : yeah.. ive followed all the instruction, i also tried the database of yours,kaswynn and tete94. one thing i cant understand is that everytime i open up the CHARSERVER.exe the WORLDSERVER crashes(vice versa) and it will display "world connect failed" its somewhat related to the database/in my settings i think.

@ammades : all of the setting is set.. dont really know where the problem is.. ^_^ as proof.. ive tested the connection when setting up odbc. and its fine.

@marknx : uhm.. not sure where will i change/correct? the name of the server youve mentioned..

this is just the problem i'd encounter.. if this problem this solved.. i can now play the game.. ^_^
its been 2 days ive debugging this error.. haha

all setting is fine in odbc "test succesfully" but if you get error when running account,login and zone server, may be you got wrong setting.

I setup server kaswyn for my friend use Teamviewer
use local connection and use public IP follow likertuban guide is work fine >.< chck again

open your ODBC
klik on tab system DSN not user DSN
klik on rfworld
configure it,
leave it to connect in 127.0.0.1,61433
but change to windows NT authentication instead SQL authentication

if you use wanker12 as "sa" password in SQL
you don't need to edit anything in server files, just instal server and run it...
don't forget to turn off your firewall and disable UAC (user account control) for windows 7

follow likertuban instruction :lol:

some trouble found, if you use Nt auth -_-

well, different computer have different experience,
as for me, change to windows auth solve every problem i had...

NT auth is what really it should be.

@likerturban : thanks.. i was able to play the game 2 days now. just change the settings in SYSTEM DSN to NT authentication.

@ammandes : yeah.. using NT auth makes the ODBC failed. maybe because we use different operating system

Heres the summary of what i have encountered while setting up ODBC:

Windows XP - account server wont run unless all the ODBC connection is set to NT Auth. (USER DSN / SYSTEM DSN) "TESTED"

Windows 7 - in SYSTEM DSN (rfworld), must change to NT auth to be able to work the world server --> this was my problem that it always failed to connect to world db. but in USER DSN:: setting ODBC while using NT Auth wont work.. dont know why. "TESTED"

This all i can contribute for others who will have an error with this problem.

BTW,, thanks guys for helping me set this up..

It sucks how there's no proper instruction for these files.
The one on the video is old, some files doesn't even exist on these new clients. Such as the launcher.exe.
I'm in tears because of frustration because I've been trying to figure out how to make my own lan RF for a week now.
I've been reading so many threads and I downloaded a lot of files. But I just can't really figure it out.
I want to ask for a decent how-to but I am going to be labeled a leecher and just redirected to the threads I've already read.
Kudos to those who were able to make theirs work.

LOL, this is old server, of course it used old video and old files, all link still work except KCR4.part1 and there's deposite file, so it still work,
yeah, learning RF is hard, for your information, i learning by myself, after 1 month i can running a server, and why the hell you need launcher.exe? everything is ready and already inside "double LOL" for you :D:

to install client, just install it, and patch it using patch rev 4,

for item, all the guide already posted here...

drag n drop to your exe files

no need to open .pak -_-"
just run the first client core 1.exe

but some people not success to install full client,,and use other methode...

run clientcore.exe drag and drop all .pak to clientcore.exe

if not success, it's mean your download is corrupt,
just place .pak and .exe in one folder,
and it'll install all .pak directly...
just try run clientcore.exe without .pak in one folder, and your installation will fail (already tried it by my self)

but when I drag n drop all file install successfull all
