lol; This isn't chinese I would know. I play Taiwan version. This is the korean CB client. Another reason I'd know is because I've played since the 1st day of korean OB :P
(Oh and about the GUI - they're changed it 5 times now on korean ver, so it's nothing new.)

Anyone whos interested in helping develope this into a workable game, were putting together some what of a DEV Team, dont come if your just gonna noob around in game..
join us on irc at irc.deltaanime.net #RF-Extreme
Most of the client looks Korean, one person on my test server said the announce text at the top of the screen and some of the login displays are Chinese though.
Anyone figure out the edf files yet?
The client always has handles to the adbr.dat and cryp.dat files, I think there's a high chance they're used in decrypting the datatable dir. Gonna try debugging for those again tomorrow.
The packet editor shows all the chat messages are delivered fine, you can read the chat with one just fine. Korean locate didn't work for me, even with IME on, maybe it doesn't play nice with win2k :/
NPC's still go off and on once in a while.
Attaching some stuff I did after getting pissed trying to debug this crap.
Top levels page, who's online page, visual tracking, where that info comes from...
From what I have seen, it seems to be Korean.
(When web browser encodes Korean with some other Language Pack, like English, that is exactly what happens)
Like I said before I am very willing to translate as long as I am provided with the file that needs to be translated^^
I have been looking over some of the files, and it seems EditClient is what modified everything both client and server side.. I could be wrong but i think edit client would be vital to getting any private server online with any success... However there is a username and password screen on editclient, it doesnt connect(or try to connect) via the internet so i believe it must try and connect locally, or u just need to enter a username/password that is stored within the file itself.
So far no luck figuring it out. :/
BTW: The chinese server that is running right now has everything working....... You can even chat in english.. its laggy as hell but meh :p
It was trying to connect to 211.117.60.194:17888Originally Posted by BoTGoD
I hexed it to 127.0.0.1, it connects to the ControlServerR with no errors, but no idea what the id/pass are for.
[EDIT] looks like it's used to edit the characters.

yeh was looking at it this morning, ip is stored at 0x736e8 in editclient, changed it to connect to local server, yeh it connects to the control server, apon debugging the control server, apon sending l/p to the control server, the control server makes a connection to db server using incorrect SA password. after correcting sa password, it querys l/p from a non existant table, well assuming mislabeled, closest to it is tbl_HostAccount, but missing fields. gonna make the table and mess with it more later. havnt debugged it anymore, time for food.Originally Posted by W1N9Zr0

tbl_Account WHERE Account = '%s'"
ControlServerSR.exe -> 0x406075 offset for those who wanna mess around debugging it too.
ControlServerSR.exe -> 0x156F8 (len 8)
000156F8 74 6B 66 6B 64 32 64 75 tkfkd2du
this is the sa pass that needs changed, just hex in yours
EditClient.exe -> 0x736e8 (len 16)
offset to change ip of control server
(ecpatch.zip, just small prog to patch ip address with one you put in)
editclient also calls connect() for mcast 224.69.0.2, this mcast address is also stored in the RF dev client
more useless info ControlSystem.ini, which doesnt exist, can be created with the following
[Account]
AccountAddress = 10.0.0.2
irrelevent to anythign else mentioned, by default with no ini it is set to 127.0.0.1

I can't buy Item and buy red Plezz
Does it really matter what language it is?...
Its definately Korean because it displays korean letters.
I still dont see how people cant determine between Asian languages @_@;.
Anyways, this is still a closed beta server and client(Means not much progress can be done to move it toward the finished product without some serious coding done).
But...this game looks really good, and i have yet to try it so that means i will once this server downloads @_@;.
This game sold out www.yesasia.com, so it has to be good.
P.S. How come the client is Korean and the Server is Chinese? O.o;

I think because the Closed Beta client was released only in Korea. Then when the game was licensed to some Chinese company, they either leaked it or got hacked.
It doesn't make sense how you say game is sold out..because no one should be really selling the game...Since it has never made it packaged...or at least not yet..
I'm sure he's talking about the Taiwan OpenBeta, the one where you buy the package for the "free beta" and get the first month of the release "free"
