Hello,

It seems a lot of people are not sure how to use 010 Editor. So here is a quick guide to get you started.

First, follow the instructions from this page:

Now, say you want to edit "MonsterCharacter.dat", this is what you do:

1. Open 010 Editor
2. Go to: File (menu) -> Open File: Find and select "MonsterCharacter.dat"
3. In case your template has not already auto-run, do the following:
   1. Go to: Template (menu) -> Open Template: Find and select "MonsterCharacter.bt"
   2. In 010 Editor, for the 'MonsterCharacter.dat' file, you should see a menu that says "Run Template", click that and select "MonsterCharacter.bt"
4. Now you should see the "Template Results" window
   (If you don't select MonsterCharacter.dat window and hit Alt+4)
5. Over here you can edit, just like structorian, the MonsterCharacter.dat file by simply double clicking the tree-objects to expand them.

how bout edit any files, as a example that monstercharacter.dat? its only for add new row? how if we want edit all mobs there and looked like structorian its can?

Hi sir imports not filling up the drives C:\development folder. Are we going to manually put the scripts,templates, includes?

Yes, you must check out the repository (clone it) to your computer into the folder:
C:\development\010-editor\ (recommended)

E.g. C:\development\010-editor\010 Templates and etc

To clone a repository you need GIT, the repository URL is: [email protected]:Intrepid-Web/010-editor.git

Follow this guide on how to clone a repository, except use the above URL instead of the one in the guide:

I must be doing something wrong when running the quest item remove script i get a error every dam time!

We fixed the server-side script however the client side template is not properly written so we need to get it finished before we can fix the script.

If anyone has the client side Quest structures it would be great if you can fix up the bt template or simply share the .strs and we will update it.
