Oh man.. I hope every sane person starts using VS2019 this year..

The Community version is free.. and there are v15/v18 sources available for VS2019.

You can start by uninstalling VS2003 and starting to use something more current. It wont fix this problem but it would be a great improvement compared to what your struggling with now.
