Sup Ragezoner's.

Xakzi here and I will do a Noob-friendly guide on how to add the QuickJobChange that was release in Epvp and re-released in RZ (In english)

You can download the package here~
http://forum.ragezone.com/f724/source-quickjobchanger-769708/

Credits goes for the guy who released in at ePVP (Sorry but Im lazy to check who u are :eek:tt1: Guessing Pumbaaa since your name is in the code )

(Keep in mind that My source is v15 Clean Released by Spiken http://forum.ragezone.com/f457/clean-source-705158/)

Green = What you have to find
Red = What you have to add/replace

Code:
So, how to add these hm?
Add the files into the folder "_Interface".
Go To Visual Studio (after opening all.sln)
Click this button right here.
[img]http://screensnapr.com/e/fdnv5f.png[/img]
Mark the 2 new .cpp & .h
and Click "Open"!
Now the files should be in the solution :)

Info::~ As Usual, if the ID Numbers already exist, change it to the next possible :)

And as Usual, End words!!

I have done some changes to pumbaaa's Quick change job..

change 1:
There is no "Change" Button anymore, now when you click on the picture, the character will change to that job!

change 2:
Fixed the text on the window, now it does not say "IDS_****" when mouse is hovering over a button / text

Change 3:
I have made a window for the NEW resdata and OLD resdata

Change 4:
I have made quick job change up to Hero and one up to 3rd Job

Change 5: The code is now inside an ID "__QUICKJOBCHANGE",
so if you feel like removing it, then removing the ID from both versioncommon.h is enough :)

Change 6: I am too damn awesome so I just needed to say that.

Info 1: I dont have 3rd job in my server, so if anyone has 3rd job, could you please comment on how it worked for you? Would greatly appriciate it.

I hope you like it, and there should not be any problems whatsoever, tried to change my job more then 64 times already haha..

If you would need any kind of help, just write your error log you get in a Spoiler and I and many others will try to help you as much as possible ^^

SlideShow For Pictures ---->>

3rd job change does not work for you?
Here's the fix for that! ~ http://forum.ragezone.com/f457/source-quickchange-3rd-job-level-818682/#post6827132

Sincerely~ Xakzi

EDIT: IF YOU GET THE ERROR GETDLGITEM : nID=933 NOT FOUND, GO TO WNDCHANGEJOBEX.CPP AND DELETE THIS LINE
Code:
	CWndButton* nApply = (CWndButton*)GetDlgItem( WIDC_BUTTON1 );

if I upgrade to lvl 15 and close the QuickChangeJob window it no longer appears, how can I solve this?

I can't change classes either.

Double check your edits as it sounds like your missing something.

Hello kind Sir, I've followed Sir Cuvvvie's guide for a v15 server and made it work. ** Thanks Kind Sir!

I've also tried this guide of yours and edit the files in mentioned. I'm not sure though if it's the correct files, I just look for the filename individually.

Honestly, I'm new to everything and really want to learn how this goes.

I've now downloaded VS 2019 Enterprise, and currently self studying.

I just wan't to know if I'm on the right track and what should I do next after editing the said files?

I will really appreciate the help received.

Thanks!

Update: after a couple days of searching and reading and extreme use of overheating brain, manage to make it through, after understanding how this works, I can now also check for other release. Thank you very much!

First of all thanks Xakzi for doing this! This gives me a nice place to start and learn as im going

Im still figuring out how the client structure and the different public sources work. And that brings me to why im posting here:

I followed the original Pumbaaa thread and yours here aswell. Both several times. The outcome stays the same. Compiling without an error. But as soon as the jobchanger should appear my neuz crashes. Does someone got an idea on whats going on?

Im using this source here: http://forum.ragezone.com/f457/vs19-v18-files-retail-content-1174203/

And yes i know that the opener did this on his v15 files. I just dont understand the difference in terms of logic yet. Any hint or lead would be much appreciated! Thanks

The client folder has a LOG folder. Did you check those logs? Sounds like you missed to add something in the resource (like define the Job Change UI). Can you open your GUIeditor without any errors?

Thanks for replying

My client seems not to have any kind of log. The only log files i got are from the compiler output.
As for the GUIeditor: i never used one till now. I found ATools but im failing at setting it up.
I will try to open the jobchange window after i managed to get an editor running. Thanks for the tip!

Compiling goes flawlessly without any error. Means i dont get any log or error at all. I see only 2 possibilities:

1. I keep doing some random fail while implementing the feature
2. The source im using needs some different edits to make it work

Finally i got some error response.

This happened while opening the client. I didnt had this before when i tried to open it. Thats strange.
Screen:

I would guess i messed up an ID entry? :?:

EDIT: checked "resdata.txt". Theres no double ID in there

EDIT2: Got it finally. Quickjobchange appears now. Thank you guys! Now i just have to find out why the job wont change when i click on the picture and it should be done

I was experimenting with the resdata.inc.
Tried to implement the code for the old one and changed it back to the new one.
At last i ended where i was before. I can't tell you really what the issue was as the current status of my files is the same as when i started to look for help.. The same goes for the error i got when i opened neuz..

The ONLY thing i really did inbetween was to install QT for VS. But i doubt that changed anything. :?:

Hmm, I know a long time ago I tried this out and it worked fine for me, the only real issue I could think of is you missed or messed something up, only real solution I could provide is you go over each step again double checking your work making sure you didn't mess up, unless you are crashing than debug?

Got it working now. 3rd job aswell. Thanks to everyone reaching out to me with a helping hand!

I guess Ketchup and you n0tso1ee7 are right about that.
Fails like that shouldnt happen again as i started to use Github now.

BUT: After i change to 3rd job the icon next to my characters name still is an H for Hero. Do i have to implement the change to an L for Legend or did i mess something up? Thanks!

My source: http://forum.ragezone.com/f457/vs19-v18-files-retail-content-1174203/

EDIT:
Im not sure as i stopped playing flyff for a long time. But it seems on official server the hero rank is the last one and the legend rank i saw somewhere was custom made. Can someone confirm that?
