This setup seems to run well (I didn't try an actual game yet) with the client from gbuniversal.net ... And I apologize in advance to frans185, but it basically consisted in:
* Deleting the .exe, the updater, the connecter and the frangb files (the .dll had the launcher ini content, by the way, and another of them was the launcher).
* Moving over nyxlauncher.exe and nyxlauncher.ini from the patcher/old private client.
* Setting up the IP addresses and URLs in the ini file, registry and hosts file.
* I can connect to the zone server while using the Gunbound.gme and season2.xfs included with garsia's files at http://www.sendspace.com/file/0u5kij ; It's the only client for which this works (I suppose it would also work on the crazygb client, since they are identical).

However, it still looks like 585, so I probably did something wrong and destroyed the season2-ness somewhere during this procedure. Any tips?
