    [Wucas' Map] 庭園 (Teien)

    So, yet again, I will try and do a project. As most of you know, I have a horrible reputation for dropping projects when they are over 75% completed (Asuna set, Halloween Map, Quest series, and Wicked Willy just to name a few), so this time I will attempt to do it another way. This project will be equivalent to an open source: as I finish things, I will post the development files for each (besides the textures' PSDs, because yah, you aren't stealing my hours of painting). This way, I can push myself more to finish the project (and if I completely fail yet again, you can use everything I create for your own malicious purposes).

    As of now the map is [|||||||40|||||||||||] completed.

    Basis of map: Large scale map for usage in a TDM/ CTF setting
    Features: Multiple bases (with benefits on either side) + Animation + Normal Map Stuff
    Scene Dimensions: 12456.0, 13959.4, 4800.1
    Visual Polygon Count: Unknown
    Collision Polygon Count: Unkown
    Amount of texures: 28 (will change)
    Size of all textures: 2.16 MB (2,266,624 bytes) (will change)

    Note*: Map assets and floor plan will be created as separate entities then combined after the map is in the final stages of creation. This allows me to make more exact collisions, better work flow, and an ability to work on fine details rather than keeping everything where I want it.

    Currently working on: Collision Hull of Floor Plan + Visuals for the Shrine.

    Just wow wucas, again you let me be amazed with your work! And you just release this aswell! I don't know what is holding people off of not using your stuff to learn themself how to use Blender / Max

    What about the other map you worked on (during Gunz Revival) I do remember it looked awesome but never heard you about it.

    How does one teach creativity/imagening things?
    Well ... that you should always provide some cover and not make big empty rooms is kinda ... common sense.
    Other than that a maps design is up to your creativity and imagination.

    Update Today. Both Vlog and Ingame st00f is available.

    (Ingame preview is because of frame rate issues in the vlog video. If you watch both videos you will understand.)

    I particularly like that the ground slopes down ^^ because no-one really does that with their maps (usually its all flat =w=). Very awesome Wucas :3 I really am enjoying this project of yours. Good luck with your collisions hehe ^^

    This map generates 26 light bitmaps.
    And has a polygon overload.
    We had to figure out what was the problem untill he finaly accepted that its due to to many polys.
    Was due to his 8k poly leafs.

    Actualy ... not realy.
    Its just that nobody ever realy used radiant in a good way.
    People didnt wanted to put time and effort into their maps.
    Or even improve their abilities with radiant.
