Still with my reg page it don't work if i try those, freeza and Mambo, what files do i have to have in my www folder? (i use wamp) I now have index.php, config.php, and that dll.
Does it matter that my locator and stuff uses 127.0.0.1,
my server does run normally (I think :P)
Also the account table in my MSSQL, does the date off my account matter there?
Date doesn't matter.. but u need to put all site file in ur wamp and locator and stuff has to be ur wan ip (www.watismijnip.nl) cause people can't login otherwise, ur config,php has to be wanip for sure too!Quote:

I still have the shop error where it says "You cannot purchase" and I have rotana's "shopfix" db.
the shop fix was added to the db.bak file
so you must of stuffed some think up...

i recomend use the normal ver of the client first, before others so that if you have an error it will be ezyer to understand whats wrong
the way that the databack is use on this tut, is not the way you did it thats why they dont have errors when restoring it, plus the restore way as 2 DB fixes
when changeing stuff in the database rember to press the " * " on the line under it or press the red " ! "

You have now c:/WAMP/www/gunzweb/GunzUpdate
and c:/WAMP/www/Launcher

i am right now at the DEFAULT.MRS but you never told anyone to install Server 2005 at any point in the tutorial as well as at the top it says YOU DO NOT NEED HAMACHI!!
But at the bottom it says if you have a Dynamic IP you need it O.o

hamachi is one of the programs used for people with dynamic ips.
others are DynDNS and No-Ip

I am running off of port 81 because me ISP restricts 80 how would I edit the Launcher to get that to work I already messed with the config in WAMP so it runs the Logo works but the patches instead of a website there it is a IP and the default is to go to port 80 how would I do that? Put my ip like 71.x.x.x:81?

Hi Guys.
I was trying to set up the server and I think I've done everything correct. I cannot see my server though. To eliminate the suspicion that the port forwarding is not done correctly I'm using hamachi, and therefore I've changes the WAN IPs to the pc's hamachi ip. The problem still persists and below are my confs.
If they're all OK then the FileList is the problem for sure. Can you pls tell me how do you use the FileList XML Maker? Do you have to create a batch file for it like the mrs.exe one? And do you have to use "sa" as the sql username by force?

Could somebody help me! I setup my server and it's fully running, i can connect to it from my computer, but other people can't, they see my server but can't connect to it. It keeps giving the error: "cannot access server". What do I do?
EDIT: I was able to solve that erro, but when when I did, a new one came up: 999 ping error (or agent erro, agent error not available).
I know the problem is not in portforwarding the ports in my router, cuz the computers im testing with are in a LAN, I've set all the IPs that were supposed to be WAN IPs to LAN IPs and in the server configuration i changed the monitor IP to 127.0.0.1, and opened the ports in my firewall. Does anyone have an idea on how to resolve it?
@shwan555 You just need to put periods instead of the numbers/letters that are left from the original text. Example: in the text there is an ip that you need to change (example: 255.255.255.255) and you have to change it to your wan ip (example: 127.0.0.1) so you change only 10 characters of the original (255.255.255.255) and 5 additional characters remain (5.255) just place periods instead of them so that (255.255.255.255) would be (127.0.0.1.....)

My Question:
Everything in my server is working fine, but now I'm trying to find out how to enable prems. It will not appear in the shop. (Edited shop.xml + zitem.xml) How do I enable them?
I also updated filelist.xml, I tried using the runnable with filelist enabled and it crashed, writing that all the files in the filelist.xml was crc=0.
I used the runnable with filelist disabled instead.

1> Unpack your system.mrs
2> Open system.xml and look for the part of Locatorlist and TLocatorlist
3> Change the ip of the Locator id="1" for both of them to your "WAN IP"
4> If there is an Locator id="2" remove that entry
5> Save it.
6> Dont forgot the update your file list!!
7> Repack your system.mrs and place it in the Gunz Folder.
now start the server and locator.
If there is nothing in the locator open your mssql studio. And place an 1 in the table ServerStatus on Opened
Start your client with the modded launcher and Login..

There's a system.mrs in your gunz client folder and in gunz client folder you have a map called Interface and that contains
default.mrs. For you it's easier to use Filelist Disabled Gunz.exe because you then don't have to update it. You can then just don't use
Filelist XML maker. Some down of the post it says how to unpack it.
Copied from the tut:
Unpacking 'system.mrs':
Extract 'mrs.rar' into your GunZ directory. Create a folder called 'MRS' inside your GunZ directory and place the files 'mrs.exe, zlib.dll and system.mrs' into that folder.
Now, you will need to open WinRAR, direct yourself to the 'MRS' folder in your hard drive. Highlight 'system.mrs' and click the 'Add' button. A window will pop-up, select RAR for the archive format and click 'OK'. Now go back to your 'MRS' folder and create a new 'Text File' with any name you like, but in the file type:
mrs.exe d system.mrs
Now save it and change the file extension to '.bat' from '.txt'. Now run that file and a folder named 'system' should come up.
You can then edit stuff in your system.mrs, but if u want to pack it again, The folder u made on destkop containing the system.mrs
delete that system.mrs then make a text file (Doesn't matter how u call it) and then type mrs.exe c system, then save it as .bat file
and run it. You then have your edited system.mrs and can put it back in your gunz folder.

You have to use the fixed launcher at top of the downloads at the top. Like Maxtrax says, you can just fill http:// in ctrl+f and u then change that to your site, scroll a little down till u see those Ip's (5.226.222.555) again and change them to your own.Quote:

4.idk what to do with the zpatchbuilder... idk what to put in the GunzUpdate folder and run zpatch

this is E.G. ONLY
well copy the files (say if there from gunz/interface/default.mrs), you would make a new file...put the filelist generator in that one also put the new files(the ones you have updated or changed) then open the filelist generator then it will make a filelist.xml of the new items...
DONT PUT THIS ONE IN SYSTEM.MRS
right click on the filelist(GEN) (the GEN=filelist generator ver of file list) click open as or open with, then click on note pad, now open filelist in system.mrs fine the stuff from filelist (GEN) and copy the crc code to the filelist in system.mrs
allthough i recommend using the theduel.exe(Filelist Disabled) which is also on top at downloads so then you don't have to update filelist all times :).
3. You can use it I think, but if its shorter then normal, click behind the ip, then you see at the left some numbers are underlined, and then if u click behind two of those numbers, you'll see a underline at the right, so the text. The numbers are sort of codenames for those letters. Just edit the numbers (so letters) you dont need, into 00.
4. If you have your whole client in Gunzupdate, edit the name from theduel to gunz, then run zpatchbuilder, it will make a patch.xml, then rename that gunz back to theduel.

Ow I forgot, if I run my servers, then if i try start up gunz, i start gunzlauncher, it makes a gunz.exe(process list in Taskmanager) and then that process after 2 secs or something dissapears.
