Hey, i also could need a lan version very much, i tried it, my server runs, I can join it, but my brother (in lan) cant join it, he get "cannot accsess server" all the time, i read the hole thread, to fix this problem but i wasent able to fix it. I dont think GunZ works on LAN
you can play on LAN or ONLINE not both, sorry if hes on ya LAN then he should have the net then just connect tho the WAN ip for LAN ONLY users you should replace all the WAN ips with THAT pcs LAN ip
Thats what i didt, i only used the cumputers ips, in also turned the internet off and tied it then, but still the "cannot accsess server", i also tried over internet, and same error, so i dit something wrong i think :/.... i rly read the hole thread and wasent able to fix that, i saw u(@ MAXTRAXv3) saying its with thhe filelist.xml updater thing, and i thik that the problem^^ but i rly dont getr what to do by your tutorial.. sry my english isent the best :/ but i give my best^^ and the rest i understood^^ so could u maybe explain it for idiots like m? maybe a vid tut?^^... but w.e. ty for answering =D your one of the onlyest guys who rly help noobs like me^^

Btw GunZ Admin Panel + XML Generator came up as a trojan/worm on Avast.... but I don't think you have to worry about them. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
They are not necessary. Just use theduel.exe(filelist Disabled). My virusscanner detects a Trojan to, but it detects it as a Trojan, and it isn't. I think he does detect it as a Trojan because it downloads automaticly, and gathers information from your computer to update.Quote:

Before I even wanted to start making a Gunz server, I had already Installed a copy of SQL Server 2005 Express
Edition, however, its authentication type is through Windows Authentication, Can I use Windows Authentication?
Another thing, I decided to reinstall SQL Server 2005, I restored my system to the day SQL Server 2005 was not in my computer,
and ran the "SQLEXPR32" setup. Everything went well for awhile until there was an error,
"The installation package for MSXML 6.0 Parser could not be found", even though the installation package was in the temporary folder.
So I downloaded the seperate msxml6.msi and ran it seperately, the setup reported that I already had a version higher than of that.
I don't understand why is happening, I need help ASAP.
I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me out in this....:(:

I have both ClanAgent and MatchAgent, but if i start up ClanServer+ClanAgent first my QuestServer+MatchAgent will have 999 ping, and in opposite direction to. Please help me.
you cant not use Windows Authentication becuase the sever it self needs a username and password
there are posts about this, you can only run 1 server at a time with unmoded server files

if your pc what upgraded from xp to vista then it will work on 2005 if not try 2008 come back tell us how that went, so i my update the info on this tut

The system.mrs might be encrypted. if it is and it is someone else's file then you will not get the code. If its yours then your gonna have to remember the code to decompile it.Quote:

For decompiling you can use a program for it released (there are many just search)
You have to put SQL Server Authencation and then You'll have to put your computer name at Server (Right click Computer, properties, scroll down till u see Computer name and put /SQLEXPRESS after it) at user put sa, at password put the password u filled at install. If u didnt fill a password, Re-install it, and you will get to a box called hide advanced options or something, uncheck it, and then you've gotta fil password.Quote:

you can ignore those, its just saying it cant add rows to the sys thing because user 'game' isnt a login

I have read and reread all types of tutorials, i tested my server on my pc and did not work...
You could have some changes in one of your Matchserver, MatchAgent, or Locator folder, you may have done the hamachi wrong, because if u did hamachi, you do need to put HAMACHI-IP in al config files (server, agentconfig etc) or you have forgot the things in database u need to do, u also need to have a line of text in dbo. Locatorstatus.
