BR/Jan/June Server And Client SETUP Guide!

Does this guide feature the most up to date files? I did these other tutorials, but they were way too short, and after looking through this guide, the other ones looked really outdated. Is this THEE post that I should build my server with? All I really want is enough flexibility to change and add obvious features to the server.

P.S. I've messed with a lot of other PServers for other games, so I can say I'm at least familiar with setting up everything without having too many severe problems.

@Marcus69 ah well i can tell ya read the tut...theres a tut for filelist in this one...press ctrl+f then type filelist hit next till ya get to it(and theres also a video on it 2)

Well I've skimmed through your guide of course and see that it features how to create new weapons, add new clothes, and stuff like that. But will I also be able to add scripted BGM's that will play only in certain maps? Will I be able to use a supported modeling program to perhaps create equipment from scratch? I mean this stuff isn't a big thing for my specific project, but I would be amazed if this client/server setup will have those doors open whenever I need em. All I need is high exp rates, prems in the shop, and the things that are covered in pretty much every tutorial.

EDIT: Going through the guide leads me to nothing but little problems left and right. The wording can be fixed rather easily, which I will gladly do if you'd like me to. Some of the problems would be that there is no Password field in my accounts table, and the table won't allow me to commit a change because of leaving certain fields NULL which is unallowed, where I just modified the table to allow them(is that ok?). Also, I'm assuming that it's safe to do the server section of the guide before doing the client?

If your referring to the username required by the SQL server manager to connect to your database, the username is just "SA".

but anyways i did your whole tut all over again start to finish, conclusion again?! NO SERVER. File list update, unpacked and packed and everything. The other day this one person helped me with it on teamveiwer and she couldnt get the servers to show..(The one who owns KalaGunz) Is it possible in any way that it doesnt work on my computer.

2nd useing wireless = FAIL
3rd you will have to use Hamachi to do this unless you ask ya ISP for a ip that doesnt change...(may cost you more tho)

Okay that worked changing it to my internal, LAN, IP. However how do I get it so that ppl can connect to me from outside my own network? e.g. using my external IP?

If everything is my WAN IP everyone else can connect to the server, but I don't see any servers listed.

@Noaru just use your lan ip and portforward to that lan ip it should work
