Hey, need some help with this. (No I'm not a nub, I have quite a bit of technical knowledge I just need some help)
I've done everything you've said to create the server and database, but it still doesn't work. At the beginning bit when you said to delete the ".EXE" directory on Hex Workshop ever since I did that the GunzLoader wouldn't work so I downloaded as new loader and it said it can't download the update due to a firewall problem or something. So yeah, how can I use Hex Workshop to delete the ".EXE" directory without it buggering up?
OPEN GUNZ.EXE(NOT THE LUNCHER) THEN DELETETHE .EXE in PE(NOT HEX)

U may have no patch.xml in c:/wamp/www/gunzweb/GunzUpdate/ or ur server isn't running or.... u can put this gunzlauncher.ini in your gunz folder but then it won't update at all but at least it works (Download my attachment lol)Quote:

@troy896 show use a pic of the hole hex edit screen where you put ya ip in
@Jadvella patch.xml should not be removed from then client uploaded(or where ever ya put the client to be downloaded from)

We did the tutorial like 5 times now..
But everytime we try to connect to the servermatch it fails.
The ports wont open, so thats a problem..
later we tried to make an server with hamachi, still wont connect!
We have put the ip's were they should be, and the ports 2.
But still no connection, thats sucky =[
We might know the problem now..
When we start the match server, locator, MatchAgent
The Agent says MatchAgent Created on port: 0
It should be 7000 or 7777, like we typed in the AgentConfig..

@hardas i call reinstall time!, thats if you install them both...if not unstall every think and install MSSQL first then MSSQLE

@c4ted what? locator and matchserver dont have tabes, they have config files or setup files if you like

mabe its bad ram then or hard drive thats the only think that could be makeing your pc crash becuase it not the software and by the sounds of it not a virus(unless you didnt format your hard drive)

ignore the error. check ur table in ur GunzDB database if there are the tables added by the queries. if there are items added, it's a success.
PS.
Im stuck. with my client not displaying any server. i followed the tutorial carefully. it's my 5th attempt. what else did i miss? can someone tell me?. i hex, i edited ip's to my WAN ip as stated by the tut. i also configured the server.ini, my agent and the locater. and also extracted the mrs acnd updated my client . i also created my account and the completed all about the serverstatus. pls help me find wat else is missing why there are no server appearing in my client. i have no errors in my server and agent

@programmer27 you have put an ip some where wrong or you didnt do filelist
@Scrider what programmer27 sed 99% right the other 1% wont affect any think at all
and if you used the backup file(gunz.bak) to restore an empty GunzDB then you will aslo have 3 fixes(i forget what they are)
Where is the start.html? and i changed the serverstatus table (opened to 1) yet i still had nothing on the locator when i started it. And i tried just starting the modified launcher and it just gave me a send/ dontsend error :( Help plz
make sure you have all ya names for match server alll are the same (in your DB, Matchagent and Matchserver)
and make sure your filelist is up ta date
also the launcher web files are in the download section of the tut

Ok i updated the filelist.xml. now u said my moniter ip is wrong? i just put it as my WAN IP like you said but still doesnt work.. add me on msn? maybe it would be easier to help me o.O? wasez@bellsouth.net

i never sed to put ya WAN ip into that thats system32 wrighting witch is wrong
moniter ip = 127.0.0.1( not matter what)
freelogin ip = WAN IP

if gunz doesnt load system.xml(so there no possable it know what to connect to)

Ok i changed the Moniter ip to what you said, yet i still dont see anything in the locator... -_- i hate this part... been stuck on it for days
