i cant get the launcher with hexedit to work. i changed it to my ip, and when i save it no icon and it also crashes after i open it. if you can help me with this i am set! would help if you can upload a blue one with the ip 69.209.230.232 in it. i tried it again and still it doesnt work...

U may have no patch.xml in c:/wamp/www/gunzweb/GunzUpdate/ or ur server isn't running or.... u can put this gunzlauncher.ini in your gunz folder but then it won't update at all but at least it works (Download my attachment lol)

Download another Hex Editor.
I prefer Notepad ++ (The newest one with Hex View in it).

ill try with notepad++ but one last question. what does it mean when update the client? i run the launcher but there is no update...
nope didint work with that either, it turned into a cmd open and close, even when i saved as .exe

i make an acret gess on what your saying and whats happing...
the tut is right, your just not smart enfo to understand it

@troy896 show use a pic of the hole hex edit screen where you put ya ip in

@Jadvella patch.xml should not be removed from then client uploaded(or where ever ya put the client to be downloaded from)

Hey, need some help with this. (No I'm not a nub, I have quite a bit of technical knowledge I just need some help)

I've done everything you've said to create the server and database, but it still doesn't work. At the beginning bit when you said to delete the ".EXE" directory on Hex Workshop ever since I did that the GunzLoader wouldn't work so I downloaded as new loader and it said it can't download the update due to a firewall problem or something. So yeah, how can I use Hex Workshop to delete the ".EXE" directory without it buggering up?

Hey when you paste your WAN IP in Hex Editor delete the extra "." at the end of your IP, mine didn't work and when i did that it worked.

When i want to HEX EDIT my WAN IP is 14 Characters long, however.. in the launcher, the IP is 13 characters long so my IP is Longer then in the launcher, everytime i save it.. the launcher crashes :(

Any help? And yes i tried removing the "."

the one starting with http:// can be changed to your web site!"

Will a No-Ip or a DNS ip adress work ?

well heres my problem... when im setting up the database and im trying to make an acc or edit any tables when i click open table it gaves me "object reference not set to an instance of an object.(microsoft.sqlserver.Express.SQLEditors)

also gives me this error

Delete database and do the database steps again.

When i want to hex edit my launcher , the ip there is 13 characters long,

MY WAN IP = 14 characters long, its longer then the IP there so ..... everytime i edit that the launcher crashes

someone please tell me what i have to do when the IP is longer then the original one!
