hey all!
im going to learn you all how to texture your weapons gunz like style.

1. Hi today im going to show you how to make a basic metal texture using blender and photoshop.
2. Ok, so now let's get started.
3. To start off you should have a basic shape or mesh in ur scene.
4. Now you have to press the: "U" key then "unwrap" (smart projections)
5. then change the Agnle limit to 89 (eigthy nine) and press OK
6. now just use a basic image with a equil hight and width. i used a image with a 900 pc hieght and 900 px width
7. now press ctrl alt b then Ambient Occlusion this will change ur texture in to a AO Map
8. now go to images in your Uv/image editor window and press save as. you can save it as anything you want
9. now open the AO Map in photoshop and drag in a Concrete texture, a colored rust texture and a flaked look metal texture.
10. Now place the Concrete texture below the Ao Map. and set the AO map to mulitply
11. place the rust texture above the AO MAP and set it to overlay on about 20% opacity
12. place the metal with the flaked look above the rust layer and set it to overlay on about 50% opacity
13. now make a scratchy looking brush and use the paint brush tool to go over the lines of the blade or gun
14. when your done going over the lines with the bursh set it to overlay
15. duplicate that layer and set it to about 50% opacity
16. Now use the pen tool to make the cutting edge and set it to overlay
17. to make scratches take out ur line tool and randomly add lines to the layer

::NOTE::
To make a Ambient occlusion map look the best, you have to add as mutch as details as posible!! ambient occlusion is a automatic light mapping technique. it automaticly gives a shadow to your mesh / model.
