In the toolbar there is a drop-down menu with the 'master' database selected, click on the arrow and select the 'GunzDB' database and click the button next to the drop-down menu, 'Execute'. A message showing 'Command(s) completed successfully.' should notify you that you have done this all correctly.

I edited the Channel List but when i play it is the default channel list.... what i have to do?

can some one try this Gunz server file for me because i m busy

OUCH!! After reading through every single one of these posts, I am seriously in pain. I love how so many of you said "I did everything right, but it doesn't work". You obviously DIDN'T do everything right ... or else it would work! I just did the whole thing and it worked fine (.. almost).

Anyways.

To people saying "When I start it up, I only see the Legacy server":
Your server will also have the name Legacy Server. So true, you may have done it wrong and now see someone else's server, but keep in mind your server will have the same name.

To everyone having the problem with "mrs.rar". I will go into a very detailed explanation.
Step 1) Double click mrs.rar. There should be 2 files in it: "mrs.exe" and "zlib.dll"

Step 2) Extract these files into your GunZ folder (Default: "C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz"

Step 3) Right click in the white space in the folder "C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz", click "new", then "New folder"

Step 4) Rename the folder MRS

Step 5) Take the two files you just extracted ("mrs.exe" and "zlib.dll") and put them in the MRS folder

Step 6) Find "system.mrs" located in the GunZ folder ("C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz") and put that in the MRS folder as well

Step 7) Open WinRar (Start, Programs, WinRar)

Step 8) Navigate to "C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz\MRS"

Step 9) Click "system.mrs", then click "Add" at the top of the screen

Step 10) The archive name will be system.rar. (Make sure the RAR bubble is clicked). Press OK

Step 11) Make a new text file (Right click, new, new text document). Call it "run" (for the sake of having a name)

Step 12) Open it and put "mrs.exe d system.mrs" (without quotation marks) in the file.

Step 13) Go to file, save as.

Step 14) In the drop-down box on the bottom, it should say "Text Documents
(*.txt)". Change it so it says All Files.

Step 15) In the box just above that, type in "run.bat"

Step 16) Save it.

Step 17) Double click run.bat

Step 18) Open the newly created "System" folder

Step 19) Copy the file "zitem.xml"

Step 20) Go to the match server folder (Default: "C:\GunzServer\MatchServer") and paste "zitem.xml" (Overwrite the old file)


.. that only took 20 steps. How bout that.


Now that I have (hopefully) answered a couple questions, I have one to ask

1) I made 1 account an administrator account, and now every account I make is an administrator (even when the value is "null"). Any ideas?

How can I get it to use MySQL with locator.ini (microsoft sql won't work I don't know why...)

SMSE won't work on my computer how do I use it with MySQL? like with the matchserver.exe and stuff... srry some lag happened so I though that post above didn't happen so I posted this... srry!

GUyz.. when i download .::MySQL::. everything goes good... but on the end, (when it installs it with Windows Installer) it says.. WRONG VERSION. YOU GOT OLD VERSION OF WINDOWS lablabla!! i got SP2! and MySQL is for SP1 right?

hey guys i have followed the tutorial and still have a few problems:

1. the only server i see is the legacy gamers server and i dont know y?

2. i created a account in the .dboaccounts table and i try logging into the server i enter the password and username correctly but it comes up saying that the password is incorrect i have changed it multiple times but still not working plzzz help.

i cant download the SQL DB files from the forum , can any1 pls upload it at rapidshare or others files hosting site? thx

Now, you will need to open WinRAR, direct yourself to the 'MRS' folder in your hard drive. Highlight 'system.mrs' and click the 'Add' button. A window will pop-up, select RAR for the archive format and click 'OK'. Now go back to your 'MRS' folder and create a new 'Text File' with any name you like, but in the file type:

Now save it and change the file extension to '.bat' from '.txt'. Now run that file and a folder named 'system' should come up. Go into that folder and copy the file 'zitem.xml'.


If i run the bat file system folder doesnt pop up :( Y is tht?

how to enable other modes like quest or duel?
