[Tut]Setting up you gunz server without dynamic ip (Advance Not For Noob)

hey dude how about the laucher? what should we change it to?

question. I'm an epic noobzor, so my question is, if we have this, do we need to run match server, locator and match agent to have the server online? Or does match server, locator, and match agent still need to be open in order to play.

this doesnt work for shizzle if u have dynamic ip i already tried this before and i see no servers.

Basicly those are the server, so yes, you need to open them to play

How is using a No-IP/DynDNS-type service "advanced"? It's incredibly easy to setup software to auto-update the IP address associated with the sub-domain A listing, or even some routers allow configuration of it - but what's the catch that makes this "too complicated" for the avg. newbie?

The sad thing is, I was about to ask why it had "advanced" in it aswell. Even I the biggest script-kiddy alive can do this.

What do u use for decompile and compile?

This is super easy, but i think it will help out people that are new to "GunZ :The Duel" developing. That being said, I am a certified networking technician, I am 18 years of age and i have my CCENT and CCNA. This is nothing but a simple DNS service, you could also use dyndns. As for how the game reads the ip for server status from the database, i have no clue. If anyone needs any type of networking help feel free to contact me. My MSN is iceman4154@hotmail.com.
