MU2d - 2D Mu Online Atari Graphics Style

    MU2d

If you don't mind I'm going to setup a little archive for my new project here. It's a 2d version for MU Online. I thought it would be interesting.

Most of the in-game mechanics (S6EP3) will be copied including the full set of characters available in S6EP3. For now we will start to copy the earliest version of MU and do some trial the soonest a beta comes out for this software.

If you want to contribute, just reply to the thread with your proposition and we'll see what I can do with it. Especially in the graphics portion, it help a lot if you contribute to graphics/spritesets/etc.

@Mirrarseq it will be a standalone MMO. It will not emulate the 3d mu client, it will have its own server with a different database structure.

P.s. I'm using mssql for the db.

I am really interested on how the maps will work.
Will you be able to "enter", for example the Lorencia Bar? Will it display a new map while inside?

Not sure if I explained myself correctly.

I'm going to lay everything flat and put every map on the list in one huge room. Transferring players from one map to another should only require the changing of the player's coordinates.
