Mu Ex700+ Setup Guide By ReaperMu Admin

AMD Hardware fix information (When I summarize it)

Recommended SQL: 2000+SP4 (SQL2k // SQL Update SP4)
Recommended OS: WinXP x64, Win7, Win Server 2k3 or 2k8

1) Download necessary files
Download Server Files Update 5 and 6 only!
Download LiTE Client (for faster work) with updates 2 and 6

2) Properly Restore Databases

3) Edit ODBC.reg file accordingly with your operating system! VERY IMPORTANT!
For 32bit: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI]
for 64bit: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ODBC\ODBC.INI]

4) Edit all IPs in the following files to your LOCAL IP (ex 192.168.X.X)

/data /lang /Commonloc.cfg
/data /commonserver.cfg
/data /iplist.dat
/eDataServer1 /eDataServer.ini
/eDataServer2 /eDataServer.ini
/ configs.ini
/joinserver /data /countryIP.txt

5) Edit all Ips in the following files with your GLOBAL IP (ex XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX)
you can find your global IP here: http://www.whatsmyip.org/

/connectserver /data /bor_serverList.dat
/data /mapserver.info

PS: For dynamic Ips, you can use a really short domain!

6) Edit the SQL User name and password in the following files:

/rankingserver /svconfig.ini
/exDB /ExDB.ini
/EventServer /configs.ini
/EventServer /Data /svconfig.ini

7) Open the following ports on your router

44405
55901
55919

8) To be able to create accounts via website/editor:
Open Enterprise Manager
Microsoft SQL Servers>SQL Server Group>Local>Databases>MuOnline>Tables
Right Click on MEMB_INFO and select “design table”
Where it says memb__pwd, in the column “Data Type” make sure it's selected to varchar and in the “Lenght” column is selected 10. If there's a check in the “Allow Nulls”, remove it

9) To evade the "Client outdated, please download new version" Message in client after update 6
Please open /data/lang/commonloc.cfg

and replace the file with this information:

Hello SmallHabit!

Current Bug list in update 6:

-when adding items w/ mumaker 1.13, Items will flicker in inventory and when equiped.
-characters have agility bugs at stat range 32000 - 32700 (fixed if mounting fenrir or dinorant)
-32767 (max stat) have totaly agility bug, no fix with mount
-Arena has invisible wall (EDIT: Saw it's not yet included, please ignore)
-When trying to open MuShop (X) in safe zone the following message appears:
Please reconnect to server (Not yet included, please ignore)
-Guild confirmation window (after name input and guild banner) lacks text. *This doesn't affect the guild creation in any way*
-1st class characters CANNOT equip pets. (Invalid slot)
-Elveland 3 not setup correctly (teleportation doesn't work) (movereq.bmd makes the game hang if edited)
-Summoner cards don't have info balloon and don't work. (right click has no effect)
-Classes in character selection screen are not displayed correctly (only partially) example instead of Soul Master or Grand Master, you only see master

~ReaperMu Character always have visual bugs on agility that you can try to fix its normal !
For MuMaker try using the one that is for Mu Server 4.6 and it will be ok next arena not sure maybe the files not correct of the map MuShop it isnt Writen yet so read first post :)!
For the last error i dont have the Classes error change client :)!
And Elbeland you need to setup right that it is (not sure about that )!

So the bugs are:

There's another issue with the files.
I don't know why, but every time I try to edit MoveReq.bmd and movereq.txt client and server, the game hangs.
if I replace the originals, everything is fine.

Solutions?

Gameserver.exe keeps saying that ranking server has disconnected, and ranking server says its always connected.

Nah, I think SmallHabit is a bit obsessed with fixing as many bugs as he can before making any other releases.

Pluze250, why not help me out with this? I have setup a small public beta, I'll pm you site & forum if you decide to help out. This will remove the hassle of setting this up yourself.

Personally, I'd love having more people around. It's kinda crappy testing a (almost) full featured server all alone when I stopped playing back when S3E2 came out. Would be nice to have some more knowledgeable people around!

EDIT:
I'm having a hard time adding the GS to the startup.exe. I need it to reset every once in a while and I'm not always home to watch over this like a baby.
Whenever I add it, gameserver.exe doesn't start properly. Any clues?
I always get the blank screen of death and absolutely no response unless I start it from the shortcut in the root folder supplied in UG update 1.0
Should this be considered a bug? or simply incompatibility...

EDIT2:

Some players on my PTS have been complaining that they start with level 0 and they don't level up when killing mobs, but still shows they gain exp. their level stays frozen at 0
When they relog this is fixed.

EDIT3: White cherry blossom & red Cherry blossom items for the cherry blossom brach event:
- They have no info balloon (Golden cherry blossom is working fine)
- White & Red Cherry blossoms cause DC when DL or any other character has a pet in the inventory (or vault) and hovers over it (not tested if this is caused with other items)

Haven't tried yet because I can't create accounts xD!

How the $%&/ can i create one? I'm using mu maker but conversion type is not the correct one.

When enabling MD5 it says that data will be trunked? wtf this means.. If you help me with this maybe i can throw some help on bugs.
